5 Tips to Win Versus Games
1 - Building your own team

It is very important to have a team that has skills, communication, chemistry, strong understanding of the game, etc. So, why not build your own team to play a few pub matches with? Grab some friends that can play decent and talk a lot during the game. That way, you already have the big advantage, due to most players in pub matches don't know each other.

Already knowing your teammates on how they play and what their attitude is really helps and contributes to your team's overall success throughout pub matches.

2- Set up some plays!

Not only it's important to talk to your teammates about the current things going on about the game, it's important that you also communicate to set up game winning plays. An example of this is:

Player: "I'll jock Francis towards the charger, and once they get close enough, the charger will charge through them all, and then the spitter will jump down and spit, then finally the boomer will come in and get a quad."

Everyone else: "Sounds great!"

Once they proceed to do it, that is called a play. Plays can be very crucial to your success. Make sure you sync up as well!

3 - Play mind games with your opponent

Getting underneath your opponent's skin in most sports and games is the way to go. Whether it's by trash talking, crushing them instantly in the beginning of a map, or just sending a message to them that you're the better team can destroy them. Sometimes, it'll lead to them falling apart, their chemistry being broken (if they even have any to begin with), and it'll also lead to sloppy plays by the other side.

I will admit, I do this one often quite a lot. I find it enjoyable with my friends because it's competitive nature. To me, it's one of the most effective ways to win. But then again, it's my opinion. You don't have to do this one, as it is controversial in the L4D community.

4 - Good tempo on the survivor and infected side

Tempo is the key factor to a team. A slow tempo may lead to one survivor rushing it, getting killed, and messing up the team. A fast tempo may lead to one person lagging behind and being killed, messing up the team.

If you don't know your teammates, it's important to know while playing what their playstyle is, every one of them. If you want to be a key role to your team in winning the game, it's your responsibility to make sure you have everyone in check, and know everyone's type of game. It's important to find the steady, average tempo for your team so you can smoothly complete the chapters without any sort of problem.

5 - Experience!

Simply have experience in versus, and the game itself! It's impossible to have a team of newcomers versus a team of veterans, and have the team of newcomers win. You need to have some experience so you can:
-Learn the basic L4D2 game mechanics
-Maps
-Strategies
-L4D2 slang.
-Etc.

So please, grab a friend, play some campaign to learn the in and outs of the maps. Play with friends to go on Versus, so it's an easier and more enjoyable experience to be in. Read some other guides on the L4D2 page, as many of them are very helpful.

Experience can get you very far in the game.
Conclusion
In conclusion, Versus can be a tough mode, as it is competitive. If you follow my advice, you can take more Ws instead of Ls.

Thank you all for reading this guide. If you enjoyed it, give it a thumbs up, favorite it, share it, and follow me on Steam. Have a great day everyone.

You seem to have used a lot of superfluous words, just to say 'pub stomp, troll and rush.'

Nice job,This will help even probably experienced players, cuz i know for one that i didnt know to play mind games with my opponents,i just tend to sit there if i got a non-talking(Non-typing?) team and wait for someone to strike and i follow in after them, but hey, just because your experienced dont mean you cant learn a thing or 2 from a guide still
