"The end of an era. For Ragnarok comes, always. A map with two layers. An overworld that has an east-west wrap around with a extensive cave system. With nine different connections between the layers, there's always the possibility of someone at your back.
Recommended 10 players and 2 UW. size 153+28."

So I just entered your map for the first time. You did an amazing job with the concept art and province positioning! It's gonna be a blast to play through it!

It fits! I intended to do a borderless one. So far I've uploaded two videos for limited maps!

For a video you might want to try the borderless version, prettier map :P

I was about to ask for the story behind the map!
As for the factions, we're thinking alike as well! I think I'll begin by building a pretender god straight from the Edda for one of the northern factions, and I'll work the inclusions you mentioned around it! I gotta test the map in my machine, first, though!

I then strongly recommend to put in some cave dwelling factions like Xibalba, Yomi, Abysia and Agartha.

As for storytelling, let me tell you the background story of the map. Not saying it should dictate your story just giving you some hooks. In the back a huge glacier can be seen, or a wall of ice. In it are huge giants, they're supposed to represent the forefathers of the Niefel Giants. They are the ones been awoken with their Illwinter global ritual.

So I'd say this map could also really use Niefelheim as a faction, that and perhaps another -Heim that can sail across the seas. Lastly I recommend Atlantis of some form because they're so very nicely amphibious with darkvision they do well in the cave system.

O O I'm speechless! I'm gonna throw a storytelling project into this map! Seriously!
