PBEM No Hero Conversion

Description
In PBEM converting units is too powerful for heros, this mod replaces those upgrades with different upgrades. This is not yet been balanced and is a work in progress.List of changes below:

the only time i have played vs AI it's vs 7 emperors - there, i fixed it (;
Dr. Smiles - we're multiplayers, we don't fancy beating programs ): unfortunately after long we find the design issues (being very smart and all) and then we try to fix them (;

Converting gives too much for no reason and no price or effort and it would be problematic in each game where there is player controled battle (which PBEM mostly is)

I play just other humans, I don't play AI players anymore. Last time I played AI I was playing 1 vs 7 empreror, but the AI doesn't really play together well. So you swallow up the first couple early then they just fall apart. The AI is like anything else, it is challenging until it's not. If you play the AI by their rules then they can make things difficult for you, I spent some time playing and losing at various levels. In multi-player both live and PBEM you learn how to create advantages quickly and press them. Aggression is the big equalizer. The truth is you can use converting to dominate single player, just not live multiplaper. Converting is not a big part of live mutli-player because AI battles are all auto. I am not good with words so I can't really explain it all to you here, but If you want to play a co-op PBEM I can show you. You can pick the settings vs humans or ai emporer, 2 vs 6 if you want. Just add me as a friend on steam and let me know when the game is up.

I amlost exclusivly play PBEM. Im wondering what it is about PBEM that woudl be different than a regular game in this case concerning game mechanics. I'm not trolling you, I'm curious. I enjoy converting units because if you don't someone else is. What level of difficultly.? I play King and I find it challanging.

I play alot of PBEM, and it is not hard to exploit the AI to build an big army. One so big that a player not doing so cannot compete. I am not trying to win an argument, I am just bored to death of this. I have lost only the gabthegab for the past like 3 months. Those that push me are using the same tactics. Which makes a rich interesting game, simple and dull. If that isnt your experience in PBEM then I envy you.

I'm curious, and don't take this the wrong way, but how are you backing this statement up?? Converting is a powerful ability, but so is a number of Notes I need to take to paremts toddau But I don't see an actualy problem with it. Sure theocrats use it, and mabe another class and plenty of gear. Roling a save vs Death on a 6 sided sdic (3d6) . But how does PBEM (Play By EMail) have any bering on the game played?

Yeah no problem. I am open changes to the replacements. I don't know if those are balanced, I just kind went with my gut and put something out there that felt like in the class. Also modifying heroes, necro heroes already have so many abilities it feels wrong given them more awesome abilties. I mean dreadnuaght gets bomb squad, that has always seem wrong to me. But I don't know how much we would really want to get into that business.

I tried this out and altho I'm not exactly sure if the new abilities are balanced it does indeed slow down the acquisition of units in the early stages. Heroes level up just as quick as before but cannot create a personal army out of nowhere and this is a positive thing to me.

I believe this is a good path to follow, thanks for the work done on it.
