StoneFire's FOV (40°-125°) mod for version 1.4.4.2s
By StoneFire!☭ and 1 collaborators
So chances are that like me, you like to play with a wider field of view so I'm gonna make it easy for you and provide the angle you want!

I don't know what degree you guys prefeer so I'm providing from 40° to 125° for the current build and support it untill the workshop launches!
I'd love feedback so don't hold anything back.

A special thanks to "Bleed" for his original FOV mod for ETS 2 wich inspired me to publish this mod.
Thank you for all your help!

Kind regards,
StoneFire

Where to get it? (Workshop & Download)
As of the time that I'm making this "guide" there aint no workshop for ATS,
thats why I ran ahead and uploaded all the FOVs to a Mega Folder[mega.nz]
where you can pick one out of the lot or get em all and try what works best for you!

Steam Workshop is finally here!

Head on over and subscribe to the collection!
If you are unawre of why you should use the workshop in the future, then let me point out the main selling point; You only have to subscribe once and you'll get all the updates in the future, never do you have to worry about downloading the files again, hurray for easy-to-use technology!

The current degrees of view is as follows:

  • 40°
  • 45°
  • 50°
  • 55°
  • 60°
  • 75°
  • 80°
  • 85°
  • 90°
  • 95°
  • 100°
  • 105°
  • 110°
  • 115°
  • 120°
  • 125°
Where to drop these files? (Manual method)
Its really simple, works alot like ETS 2 but here is what you're gonna do:

If you have opend the Mod Manager on your profile in ATS there should already be a folder named "mod" at this location; ...\Documents\American Truck Simulator

if there aint no folder called "mod" to go ahead and create it, this is where all the .scs files go!

So to summarize, this should be the path for Windows 10 users;

C:\Users\[insert your user here]\Documents\American Truck Simulator\mod

As for other Windows users, in general the ATS folder should be in your Documents,
I hope this helps!

How to enable the mod?
Thank you SCS for making this easy with your built in mod manager!

Here is what you gonna do step by step;

Step 1.
First up you wanna start up the game, after the intro you will be greeted by this screen, go ahead at click the button highlighted in red.

Step 2.
Second you wanna click the mod you wanna enable.
NOTE: If there is no mods to be found here your mods is either the wrong format or in a wrong folder, go back to the section about placement of your mods.

Step 3.
Third you wanna click the arrow highlighted in red to enable the mod.
NOTE: Only one FOV mod should be enabled at a time, if multiple is enabled the top one on the list to the right overrule the rest.

Step 4.
Fourth, once you have enabled the mod/mods you wanna use click the button highlighted in red.

Step 5.
Fifth, with the mod/mods in place the last thing to do is continue your game and click the button highlighted in red, and see if it worked.

A special thanks to "Plain, Simple Garak" for reminding me to include this section!

Kosmonautas, the FOV slider didn't exist back then no, and yes these mods are by now far outdated, tho there are limitations to slider, one that would want to go beyond that limit then these are easily to fix to that.

'Scuse me, but hasn't F4 existed back then? Clicking F4 three times will bring up a window in which You can click the corresponding buttons to change about anything, from Your trucks seat position to the FOV. The FOV changes by a degree every press, so no need to rely on someone pre-picking a certain FOV. You can have 102 degrees if You want. And no mod needed. And since there is no mod to be loaded, You will shave a little off the loading times. (Wasn't meant to be rude, just pointing out that this mod is a little bit useless right now(And, yes I do know that this is now 2yrs old, I'm just pointing out))
