Adevntures in Ai
Description
Release date: Early-Mid 2016
Description

Captain Kaon is a ‘Thrust’-inspired twin-stick shooter, a modern homage to a classic. It’s an Amiga-era styled game with ‘50’s sci-fi themes.

Features

Classic Gameplay, Evolved
Revisit the classic ‘Thrust’-style gameplay from the golden age of Atari, evolved for modern gamers as a twin-stick shooter. Negotiate the twists and turns of tunnels and under the surface of Mars, Ceres and many more planets across the solar system. Engage with swarms of enemy Laser Pods in bullet-riddled combat. Rescue hostages before they can be turned into Brain Drones that swell the ranks of Doctor Quantex’ army. Deploy Marines, turret guns and other assets to turn the tide of battle. Recover fuel, data chips and other resources to aid you in victory.

Pixel Art Style
Captain Kaon is drawn in cute, Amiga-era, pixel art graphics. Matching the style of the time, but with a modern colour palette. Get ready for some mid-90’s nostalgia.

‘50’s Sci-fi Story
Captain Kaon has a story inspired by the sci-fi classics of the ‘50’s.

The Earth is in great peril! The Sigma Collective has risen up and threatens to invade. Only Captain Kaon can save us. Blast your way across Ceres and the Asteroid belt defeat the madness of Sigma!

Who is Doctor Quantex and what is evil plan? Gasp in terror at his army of Brain Drones! Once people like you and I, they are now twisted into mechanical nightmares. Assault their strongholds on Mars and Phobos, save the red planet from annihilation.

Challenge Mode
How long can you survive the ever increasing waves of enemies in the quest to achieve ‘High Score’? Captain Kaon will feature 10+ different challenge maps for you to test your combat skills. Each level is a loop of escalating challenges, filled with punishing a.i. enemies and devious environmental hazards to keep you on your toes.

Same as @melbournemartin. I have the same issues as you with my game, so we're sharing the struggle! ;) Upvoted.

Thanks for the amazing blog post. I hope that helps "kickstart" the Greenlight campaign. The graphics are nice as are the animations, although there are a few times where your ship seemingly fires out of its arse that you may wish to change.

Very intricate level design too. Got a nice Mario feel to it.

Best of luck!

Thanks brad drac,I've got a red flash on the ai but I totally overlooked putting a sprite flash on the player.

Don't lose heart, the game looks really nice.

One piece of feedback though, based on the videos at least, you need more feedback when the player ship is hit. Shaking the sprite or flashing it red would do the trick nicely.

Best of luck with the rest of campaign.

Привет.
Удивлён что игра ещё здесь. Когда я смогу поиграть?
Удачи!

P.s. From Gamasutra article, too. :)
How about to add Russian language to the greenlight page?

@Big Boss, I agree, my sounds need to be better. It's the first time I've done sound for a game, I'm going to keep plugging away and improving them.
