Description

RP City 17: District 47 Version 2
Requires Half-Life 2: Episode One and Half-Life 2: Episode Two mounted to Garry's Mod!

Does NOT require Counter Strike Source.


Features:
  • Moving trains which occasionally stop at the station (Standing in front of an oncoming train will set off the horn)
  • A complex nexus control room with overwatch announcements and alarm systems.
  • A city scanner that travels around the map--connected to a monitor that displays a live feed of what it sees.
  • Breencast screens that can be activated (only transmits ingame sounds.)
  • Various ambient sounds that can be played mapwide from the admin room.
  • The ability to launch extra scanners into the map from the admin room.
  • Ability to launch manhacks into the cistern from the admin room.
  • Nexus multi-floor elevator.
  • Combine control room that can activate/deactivate a combine shield (another one in the combine trainyard)
  • Fully AI noded.
  • Radio easteregg.

Bugs:
  • The scanner(s) may get stuck in certain places and/or spin on an axis.

Plans:
  • Clean up the admin room.

@adam If i'm not mistaken you can group brushes or use a logic to trigger a bunch of doors as the same time but to start moving at different times for each individual brush using a logic tied to a button. jon would be the better person to ask but he is rarely on Steam anymore. there are tutorials on this on youtube i believe which may be some help.

Question:
I'm really curious as to how the main entrance door into the Combine Nexus was done. I've seen that type of Combine door design before, with all the individual brushes moving independently to create that cool effect. I would absolutely love to replicate this. If I could get any kind of information on that, that'd be great!
