A guide on how to play Trackday Manager by Terje Lundberg, Creative Director at AHGS and TM.

Welcome to Trackday Manager

Trackday Manager is a complex game with a lot of features. I hope that this guide will help to make you unlock all it has to offer. This is a temporary solution until we have added our Tutorial/Help system into the game.

To make this guide i choose to use screenshots from the game and have added information onto them, this is to prevent a wall of text. Hope it helps.

Race Central

This is where you and your team spend your time during races.

The Garage/Home

The main hub of the game, this is the landing page when you log into the game and after leaving races.

Sponsors/Contracts

To earn money in the game you rely on having sponsor placement on your car. There is additional prize money to be earned but having sponsors is crucial. You can have up to 10 sponsor contracts going at once. A sponsor will approach you when they are interested in marketing their brand and its up to you to accept or decline these contracts.

Reputation

Your reputation is crucial to which sponsors might approach you. Reputation is built from finishing contracts and doing well on the track.

Loyalty

Every time you finish a contract you raise your loyalty towards that sponsor and their next offer will grant you more money and different bonus assignment. you automaticly get a chance to resign a contract that is fulfilled. this have to be done before starting a new race. That sponsor and its logo placements will keep their spots if resigned this way.

Set rules of a sponsor

• A contract last 10 races which leads to a set payment as agreed upon in the contract at completion.
  
• If you fail to meet their minimum requirements every race you will loose the sponsor

Sponsor Slots

• Each sponsor have a minimum requirement of having their logo shown in 2 spots on a car
  
• There is 3 type of sponsors, Small, Medium and Large.
  
• Each car have room for 2 Large , 3 Medium and 5 small sponsors. giving a car a total of 20 sponsor placement spots.
  
• Small sponsor placements can go in each of the 20 spots
  
• Medium sponsors can only go in medium or large spots
  
• Large Sponsors can only go in large spots

Bonus Tasks

A sponsor most of the time give you one or more bonus task(s). These will solve as soon as their requirements are met and will give you a instant payout from the sponsor with the amount specified in the contract. These tasks do not affect the original offer in any way, so failing these bonus tasks doesn't cancel out a contract.

Placement of sponsor logos

After signing a sponsor contract you need to place their logos on the car in order to meet their requirements, this is done in the Customize screen where you also can choose paint and patterns.

Customize your car

You can choose to style your car with a vast amount of patterns/liveries, paints and shaders.
Some are ready from the start while others will be unlocked from achievements or bought for money you have earned.

Skill up your driver and crew

In Trackday Manager you are depending on having a reliable and skilled crew of engineers and specialists to maintain your car and make those pit stops go flawlessly. The driver's skill set is even more important.

You can develop the skills on both crew and driver by earning experience points by racing and earning achievements.

Tune your car

Each car in Trackday Manager have between 40 to 60 different upgrade parts that can be fitted to make the car better and more competitive. Upgrades are bought for money you earn through racing.

Tooltip on skills for the driver doesnt work for the first skill with the stearing wheel sign, couldnt find anything on it in from the wiki or the game site. Also it also take a long time for the tool tip to show up. Some of the text within the pictures are kind of small and hard to read. Also my game doesnt look like that. Arew these older pictures from an older build or a newer build not yet released?

what do the skills mean? hovering over says nothing for me. and i already used one but want to make sure i know where im placing them
