End Game - Puzzles

Beat the Main Boss and wondering whats next? Use this as a guide though the extra game content.

Quick run down

So you beat the virus and got the shall we say, bad ending?

Before you start you should try for the following

• Collect all the Disk
  
• Get all 14 powerups
  
• Explore every blank section of map left
  
• Activate all 4 pillar computers

With this done you should be ready to commence, we should start by finding the eagle at the top of the map.

Strange language

With the Eagle found he will tell you about his new friends and the language they speak, if you want to translate this you should screen shot what he and the others say, specifically when he says 'Learn their language well' it is them repeated in the alien language which you can use as a base for translating what the others say.

If you need help finding them the Eagle himself is on the top left of the area outside the temple, 2 more are along the top of the map and one more is near the teleport to the derelict ship.

If you dont have time to translate everything refer to the spoilers at the end, overall they will tell you where 3 keys are located and if you explored everywhere you should be able to find the 4th one since it is not hidden and just requires a clue and the keycard.

The secret teleport

Hopefully if you explored the entire map you would know where to find this, but in case you've managed to miss it so far you can get there from one of the secret temple rooms that contains a Disk you should have already, you can jump up off the top of the screen to get to where the secret teleporter is.

Before you go its recommended that you have found the hidden alter in the volcano region and activated it by decrypting the secret message on the computer near by, once you have entered the code you should hear a chime and a gate will open up elsewhere, you can do this at a later time but it will be easier while your still exploring the station.

Once you do take the temple teleport to a new area, you will come across a door locked by 4 rainbow keys which hopefully you have got and it will allow you to cross into the next room.
Be careful here as the laser will kill you instantly even if you try to dash though, thankfully the solution to getting past this is in the room itself (See spoilers if you need more help) once in the large room go down and left to find a save point.

The clock room and the maze

Going bottom right from the large crystal area should bring you to the dreaded clock room, in here you should see the hands of the clock either static or spinning.

You can change the hand of the clock by changing which powerups you have enabled, once you have found a desirable time you can move to the next screen to find a cryptic message on a computer which hints at the location of a hidden sign, one power up however will allow you to enter the maze.

If the maze is blocked off then you have not yet found and entered the code in the volcano region and need to go back. Inside the maze will be a clue how to activate the signs and one area will have a lonly man inside with a 3 letter code in the background that will be required.

The signs and a ghost

Using the clues you should be able to work out where they are, by standing in the right location and entering the 3 letter code found in the maze you can activate each sign which will reveal an eye or two when correctly activated.

Again see spoilers if you need help.

One they are all activated you should return to the crystal cave and this time go to the top right, if you have activated all of the codes you will be able to walk though to the next screen and stand on a button which opens a gate at the end of the maze. If any of the blocks are down that means you have yet to activate that sign.

Once the gate is open go back to the clock room and enter the maze, one you reach the end you will fall into a room with a computer and a ghostly head. Touching the ghost will kill you and he will hunt you down everywhere you go, by reading the computer it will open up a way to escape the ghost and more importantly inform you how to stop the ghost from chasing you down permanently.

When the ghost is delt with go all the way back through the maze and once more drop into the room, this time you can walk to the right and get the alien ending.

Instant kill laser

To get pass this turn off all powerups except the 3 show on the wall.

The location of the keys

The first key is gotten by unlocking the 4 pillars and entering the underwater area on the bottom left of the map, go past the keycard blocks underwater and enter the next room. By shooting the button on the top right you will open up a new room with 3 icons, stand on the moon icon and wait until you can drop down. Disable the keycard to get past the trap and to the save room, past this is a 2 room long spiky gauntlet you must pass, after this there is a warp with a save point to the left, past that is the 4 pillars which will activate a boss battle which when completed will grant you the first key. If your having trouble see down below.

The second key is found by going to the save located after the fire course used to exit the volcano region the first time (19:13), save and dash off the right had side of the screen to enter a secret area which will have the second key at the end past all the enemies. If you dash to the right and are still in the volcano region walk back to the save and dash to the right again.

The third key is found behind a secret wall near the lake in the middle of the map(15:09), by standing and waiting on the ledge on the right side a path is revealed and going down it will lead you to the third key.

The fourth key is found in the temple in the room left of the main save point (22:02), go to the second pillar with a light on it then vertically dash up through the roof into a new area. In this room you need to shoot the button on the right to open up the door and also kill all the spiders hiding in the background. Once they are all dead you will be able to collect the fourth and final key.

What are the sign clues

Each clue is found by having only 1 powerup activated and going though the clock room, the plasma shield does not have a clue and is used to get to the maze.

here are the clues translated

1 - the first sign is at the center of a submerged arena
2 - the second sign in front of a creature long forgotten
3 - the third sign is on metal at the first steps on the road one can never complete
4 - the fourth sign is on a ledge over water under a glass dome
5 - the fifth sign is hidden away above a vertical power
6 - the sixth sign is in a mass of sand on a plant under siege
7 - the seventh sign is at the bottom of the world
8 - does not exist and is already unlocked.
9 - the ninth sign is nearby on a pointed pillar next to almost certain death
10 - the tenth sign is at the circular window to the vastness of space
11 - the eleventh sign is on the spot of what was stolen
12 - the twelfth sign is where eagles dare
13 - the thirteenth sign is on an overhang above a red lesson in movement
14 - the final sign is at ancient ruins covered by glass

Where are the signs

1 - Stand in the middle of the water boss room on the left side of the map (03:08)
2 - Stand in front of the old skeleton which is found when moving from the volcano section to the first virus boss (21:14)
3 - Sadly you have to go though the spike gauntlet again and though the warp, just to the right on the grass is a small square you need to enter the code in.
4 - This one is under the warp to the derelict ship (07:11)
5 - Is found above the vertical dash power up (11:06)
6 - Is under the sand where a plant sits (12:18)
7 - Is found where the boss was defeated at the bottom of the ship (15:22)
8 - I told you there is no 8 already.
9 - Is in the room with the instant death laser, you must stand on top of the middle pointed crystal on the right os the screen.
10 - Is at the front of the derelict ship standing in the round window (24:20)
11 - Is where a power up was stolen in the volcano region near the super charge powerup (26:17)
12 - Is where the eagle is standing at the top of the map (18:01)
13 - Is in the room after where you get the hookshot in the volcano region standing in the very top corner (28:08)
14 - Is found by standing on the square in the temple under the glass dome (25:00)

Opening the maze

The computer in the room hidden in the volcano region (22:16) has hints to finding the four letter combination, this is the translation

Stand in the middle at the top of the room and enter the four letter and you should hear a code.

The first letter is hidden in the artwork of the derelict ship on the disk, the phrase at the bottom translates to 'First is M'

The second letter is hidden in the sand region at(06:15), in the top left of the room are four letter which translate into 'TWOW' which means the second letter is W.

The third letter is in the temple hidden at (27:01), the bottom of the screen shows three dots and a letter, this means the third letter is Y.

The forth letter is found underwater also around the temple region (24:08) and is reached by swimming down to the room. In there is the number 4 and a letter which means the forth letter is A.

Navigating the maze

Navigating the maze is tricky but the route needed is actually quite simple, remember that some things that look like dead ends might be actual paths.

An image will be posted here showing the maze, or a link to one at a later date.

The code needed for the signs is ESA and activated by typing that where the sign is, eyes will appear when entered correctly.

Defeating the ghost

Defeating the ghost is actually quite simple and only annoying since you have to do this while being continuously chased down by him.

The computer translates to 'the ghost rests at the smiling face and returns here' which simply means you need to return the ghost to the room with a smiling face which is located underwater at the main lake (13:10). Once he is gone you can safely go back to the maze again.

I can't reach the third pilar computer. I have all powerups except 10 and 14. I found the computer room (like Vector), but it is too high for me. Is there some way to reach it or I need another powerups?

Its not missing, its just really old and out of date >_>. And I dont have the time to go through it all writing down all the new areas and changes.

This is missing an area of the map. Above the Water Snake boss on the top right jump over the edge and theres a hidden set of stairs. Blast the wall to unblock a hole and access a new teleporter that goes to the other side of the derelict ship invaded with black imps.

Hi i got an extra tip for getting the second key in the volcanic region, wait till the three blue lights shine on theyre brightess, then quickly dash to the right section and you will always be in the secret level for the second key ;-)
