MUTEKI'S Slower Levelling/Slower Skill Progression - 90 Percent Reduction

Description
A mini mod that reduces the speed of skill progression, allowing for slower skill advancement and levelling.

The powers that be (Deadra Lords, The Nine Divines, Demipowers (Morihaus, Almsivi) and others worthy of the title) take centuries even eons to gain an advantage over their rivals yet in the game the Dragonborn, though he/she may be the Dragonborn of legend is able to within a short space of time become the single most overpowered entity that has ever walked the face of Nirn!

This is an immersion mod that effects gameplay greatly and allows for a more genuine/advancement in the game as it makes players work for their hard earned "level ups".

In addition to the above this mod and it's variants of 30/50 and 70 percent speed reduction also make training sessions more important and if your anything like me it no longer becomes tempting to go to a forge, alchemy table or enchanters table and create 100 plus items.

Note: This 90% speed reduction variant along with the 70% percent variant have the greatest impact on gameplay and is therefore recommended for a character that is at least 10 levels in power, it can also be used by people who are looking from the start of a new game for an extra challenge.

Instructions:

Subscribe to this mod and load the Skyrim launcher allowing it to download and update mods as necessary then load any game you wish for the reduction in skill progression speed to take effect.

Uninstallation:

Update 14/05/2015: A significant bug has been resolved, previous versions of this mini mod had perk description texts missing, this resulted in the player being unable to distribute perk points or select a perk category. This issue has now been resolved and the mini mod has been confirmed to work as intended.

I feel like this doesn't effect anything when I use it. Granted I've only tested out a few skills, but things like Conjuration and Sneak still seem to level up with just one use for every use. Or is that just cause they give so much exp to begin with?

I cant seem to get this to work along with extended perk tree mods. The perk tree mod will work if this loads before it in the mod order but when I test it by creating a potion the gains are back to vanilla

I want to say thank you for this essential mod. Very useful.

Still I wish to level maybe 95% or 99% slower if possible. I like to use lot of mods and they extend the playtime significantly, so I become a demigod too early even with 90% reduction.

@gsvdw1 , thanks for the comment and for using my mini mod :) Sorry about the late reply, for some reason I never got a notification that a new comment has been made on one of my mods.

Thanks for this. I've always thought the game leveled too quickly.

@Zomby Woof. Continued From First Reply: If the mod continues to function incorrectly for you then it is possible that your Skyrim launcher has not updated the mod to the current version, to resolve this please allow your Skyrim launcher to download and update your subscribed mods before launching the game, it is also possible that another mod (such as the uninstaller that I have created for this mod) is conflicting with this skill XP reduction mod, to confirm/resolve this in the 'Skyrim launcher' -> 'Data Files' please set this mod as low as possible so that its changes take precedence over any other mod that effects skill XP.

@Zomby Woof. Thank you for your comment and continued use of my mod, I have tested the mod using one of my test characters that has the Smithing skill set at 15 while Enchantment is set at 35.

My results show that this mod is indeed working correctly as it took a total of seven times to raise my test character's Smithing skill from 15 to 17 by creating Gold Necklaces (with no additional bonuses that effect skill XP gain) and with the mod active it took exactly the creation of 12 Gold Necklaces to raise the test character's Smithing skill from 15 to 17. Similar but more obvious (to the proper functioning of the mod) results were experienced when testing the Enchantment skill.

I'm afraid it levels the smithing skill and enchantment skill as normal without reduction.

I like this idea. Is fun late game, where its not: I used my good bow for the first time! *Archery increased to level 100*. l-l--l-l-l--l-l-l-l-l-l-l-l-l-l-l-l-l-l-l-level up
