Thetford Forest

Description
Map of Thetford in the county of Norfolk UK. This map requires the Euro Cites DLC.

It is recommended that this map is played with 'city growth' disabled.

Thetford is an ancient town located in the county of Norfolk in the East Anglian region of the UK. The surrounding forest was planted in the 1920’s to help give the UK a source of home produced timber after the shortages caused by the First World War (1914-18), originally it was open sandy heath land.
The town was massively expanded in the 60’s and 70’s by taking ‘overspill’ from London.

I have used the street layout as imported Maps4Cim; sadly the choice of buildings available does not represent Thetford accurately. I have chosen buildings that produce a higher density to improve game play. As the area of the map is quite small, it does not include the surrounding villages, I have taken liberties with the surrounding area to make the game a little more interesting.

ALL buildings have been placed manually (no automatic generation).

I also utilises the narrow footpaths created with CIM2patchplus and Bundle patches created by eis_os which I highly recommend that you install these mods, if you haven't already done so, they can be found here: http://cim2.bytetransfer.de/bundlepatches/
http://cim2.bytetransfer.de/cim2patchplus/

Please remember to rate this map, if you like it.

The Steam workshop is not working for CIM2, but you can still download maps manualy as described below.
You can find your subscribed maps on your PC (you must subscribe to the maps in the normal way). They are located in a folder on your PC (Windows 7, 8 & 10) [C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata\79832872\ugc\referenced]. They are updated when you start CIM2, so start CIM2 and exit before you start (stay logged into Steam).
The maps are located in numbered folders. Look in the folders to find the map files. Only copy the files ending *****.map. (They have very long names, the city names are included somewhere in the name.)
Copy the map into your maps folder [C:\Users\chris\AppData\LocalLow\Colossal Order\Cities in Motion 2\Maps]. You will then want rename the files to a sensible name.
The bonus is that you can open the maps in your map editor and edit their content to suit your personal preferences (eg. You may want to adjust the 'car factor' to control traffic levels.).
