GemFX Mod Tutorial for DOA5:LR
By A X I
GEMFX appears to not be working for some ppl, if you want a concrete solution SweetFX will work.

This tutorial should suffice. If you want to help us figure out GemFX's potential with DOA5 feel free to experiment. Quick enhancements can be had with SweetFX however.

2. Install GemFX
Install GEMFXv1_0_8.exe to your Dead or Alive: Last Round directory. It will look something like this.
3. Mess with the settings
Tweak the settings to your liking, 64 bit is required and I think compatibility mode is as well.

GemFX also has all the abilities of SweetFX so if you have settings you fancy you can import them or you can remake them. This concludes my first Guide.
GemFX options and information.
Although this video is for GW2, it does a decent job of explaining some of the features.

http://sfx.thelazy.net/downloads/ download SweetFX 2.0 (Preview 8) then replace the SweetFX_Settings preset in the SweetFX folder with which ever one u want. I just rename the settings to "SweetFx_Settings.txt" then replace.

This program WILL work, remember scroll lock enables/disables.

Well was testing around with this GemFX and SweetFX on other games. For me SweetFX and GemFX don't work for DOA5:LR. Was testing as admin and re-install it but nothing works. I don't get a log file. But on my Cities:Skyline game it works great.

SweetFX must be activated through GemFX. You might as well just use the SweetFX tutorial for now.

How do i know it works or not? I see no change... Is there any way to check if it works?

Can you post some comparison images?

Certainly, if you went through the time to make this "guide", you have some configuration suggestions pertaining to the game. You did test it, yes? I don't see any comparison screenshots or anything.

Even if it's mostly a copy and paste job, thanks for bringing this to our knowledge.

Very good tutorial!
GemFX is much easier to use than SweetFX.
