At the moment I have my residential bounded in between the Oil and Ore deposits as well as the highway. It's only until recently in the Let's Play where I've really had the budget to spread the roads and services out to sprawl residential where I want it to sprawl, and areas where I could have sprawled to I was reserving for High Density (part of my play style is to not later do a mass rezone of low density to high density like a lot of players tend to do).
Overall, I'm enjoying the playthrough.
I will say though that I might suggest moving the oil deposit away from the current starting tile. Given that you can't even specialize in Oil until Busy Town (5th Milestone) when you'll have access to atleast three tiles with a fourth tile at the next milestone, it'd be better to have the nearest deposit one or two tiles away. In particular, near the tip of the peninsula would be an ideal spot. Same with Ore, but to a lesser degree since you do get the Ore industry a bit earlier than Oil.
The only thing I'd like better is slightly different ore and oil placements and a bit better fertile land for farming. Right now it's spotty at best
Currently up to 8 episodes with a few more ready to go.

I looked at a variety of different maps to find one that interested me enough. This one definitely won out.
