London! Another creation using the Heightmaps over at terrain.party! This is a render of London, with some major highways and railways added for starting out. Air routes spiral towards the center, and the river is large enough to traffic cargo shipping!

Enjoy this incredibly beautiful landscape!

I spent some time rebuilding some roads that caused odd terraforming, added interchanges for starting area, and added a smoothing pass over the area once more, to help flatten areas where buildings may be interfereing with the heightmap; Try out version 2 link in the description.

Thats because he hasnt smoothed out the height data map which, in the case of cities, records real life buildings as hills!

@Prince-of-Mercia, if you want another London map, check out mine which also I spent alot of time not only flattering the errors but adding realistic road and rail links.

@Prince-of-Mercia, while your opinion is one that makes sense in a gameplay POV, this is in fact the closest rendering of both the landscape and the highway system, minus many of the city highways, since you would normally build those as you make the city. If you wish you are more than welcome to edit the map yourself using the soften tool to help flatten the areas, but as far as I see it this is how I plan to keep the map looking.

Same for the highways; you can take the existing highways and create your own interchanges if you wish, but again it is something that, currently, I find acceptable. Trust me when I tell you that those changes you listed are only a small fraction of the time spent on the map, so I'm more focused on making accurate landscapes, rather than functional transit. Thanks for your feedback though and, if I get around to doing a pass over this map, I may look into refining the transit some more.

Well i agree its beutifull but i dont think its that mountinus, and you may want to put an interchange on the map to beguin with as it will be pretty expensive to build your own with your starting assets, also the motorway you start with looks like a rolercoaster and isent that nice to look at and the railway is a bit to close to the river

Other then my bit above its a good start, if you would flatten the land abit and improve the moterway with a flater route with a turn off it would be alot friendlyer to people playing the map as a campain. Also if you could move the railes further from the river it would be easer to bridge.

If these fixes were added i'm sure i would enjoy this map more, thank you for your time making it and cant wait to play it more.
