Description
Brief description:
Improves droptables for military/pirate/xenon capital ships at the moment (small ships might be considered in the future). The focus lies on improving the very bland loot you get from killing things. The Xenon I is finally somewhat profitable to kill.

Localisation:
Only English for the moment. (Other Languages should get English as placeholders)

Compability: (Should be no more crashes)
Should be compatible with most mods. But there are some restrictions

  • Will not work with other mods that influence drop tables as i have made sweeping changes and introduced new tables so i will not support patch files for drops.xml. The other mod's changes might be lost or this one wont do anything with regards to drops.
  • Ships that are introduced in other mods will usually default to the 'military_large' droptable. Meaning medium meh drops as they are the low end capitals.
  • There are some reported compability issues in some cases, when loading a preexisting savegame without the mod, will have to figure out what it can be. (My best bet is conflict with another mod)
  • Latest XRebirth version only atm.

Features:
  • Introduces specialized droptables for Pirate capitals, destroyers, carriers, Xenon K and the evilicous Xenon I.
  • Loot has been significally revamped to make it more profitable to actually spend time killing ships. The lack of loot was a big letdown in Rebirth.
  • Xenon I is profitable to spend time killing, but not unbalanced as there is some risk involved, as it should be. Expect 5-14 million + a special set crafting reagent drop.
  • Introduces three new crafting sets requiring rare components (Note that they ARE RARE, or should be)
    • Xenon Enhanced Intrepid URV Mk5 (Really beefed up URV that your player ship can use)
    • Pirate Outfit (30m ish vendor trash), components drop from i.e. Titurels
    • Experimental Capital Set (30m ish vendor trash), components drops from regular destroyers and carriers
  • Introduces the Xenon-Enhanced Intrepid URV Mk5 (Rare) ( Not as OP as it sounds. It is useful.)
    • 150k ish hull to actually prevent it from dieing within 3 secs
    • 5x Plasma Repeater mk2
    • 2x Guided Missile
    • Only usable by the player ship

Balancing:
  • The aim has not been to shower the player in gold. But be an alternative to other avenues.
  • The loot is balanced from medium early - late game.
  • You might strike a gold mine early on in the game by snatching loot from a titurel a station has killed. You should be prepared for this, it is chance based. (Goldmine is relative here, should be an ok amount)
  • You might get a lucky drop spree so dont run off screaming 'OMG SO UNBALANCED'.
  • I would be happy to get comments around balancing as i probably have to work on it.

Future Plans:
  • Provide packs with diffrent balance points so the player can choose what loot amount is appropriate.
  • Perhaps make it possible for xenon stations to drop some loot. So thats there's a reason to go kill them.

Uninstallation:
I can not make any guarantees regarding save game compability when removing the mod. In most cases it should work if you remove the extension tag in your save and make sure you dont have any of the new wares or drones on your ships. If that doesnt work try searching for 'units_size_drone_ancientdrone_macro' and remove the owner unit/element.
PLEASE BACK UP YOUR SAVE ! :)

I have No Clue what Version of the game I am Playing, I Presume that with Auto Up-Dates, it should be the newest...
But, I Load This Mod, and When I get my Inventory List Full, I have the First TWO Craft List Items are shown as "==Text Not Found" or words to that affect. Both The Item To Be Crafted, and the Items to do that with, and when My Inventory list is LONG, The Top 6 or So Items on the Common Goods are also shown as "==Text Not Found" as above...

It works for 4.1, but PLEASE fix the text. Yes, people still play the game.

Any chance this is working with version 4.0?

I'm having the same problem with items showing up as TextIDNotFound. I'm able to sell them but I have no idea what they are.

I believe I may have installed another mod that influences drop tables, and seems to have effect that some of the loot like the pirates garb items apppear as TextIDNotFound instead of what they were before I installed whatever it is I did. I can tell they're still the same items, though, as they sell for the same amounts. Have not noticed any other problems, but I also have not been able troubleshoot which mod is conflicting, I just assume that's the case. On a day I have more motivation perhaps I'll try and find which one also influences drop tables, because I must have missed it when I installed.

Thanks for this, though. At least it's not pointless to get ready to snatch the cargo t he titurels you destroy drop right before they explode =)

I'll have to give this a try. X loot has always been poor... when a ship the size of a destroyer or a huge freighter goes up in smoke... there should be a buncha shit to rummage through right.

Before you blame him, you should consider what other mods you use, don't point the blame solely on one person, some of your other mods could be in conflict and causing that to happen, try uninstalling the last few mods you installed before this, I'm using well over 90 mods and I have no issues with this one, or any of the others. Also, a little less condescending of a tone would be nice, people who make mods do so for fun, and being rude only makes them less likely to help you. BTW Gtadam, your mod is good stuff
