The Stepdaughters of Gaia are the green naturist organisation led by Lady Deirdre Skye. As a green commune they are ecologically sensitive and dedicate their lives to guard, understand, and preserve Planet's native life. To them, the planet is just Planet, a sentient being, allowing you to live their with it, not by controlling it.

Traits:
Their connection to nature gives them the following traits:

1 extra food from marshes.
1 extra culture from forests
Start with 10exp towards the first Harmony level.
Explorers aren't attacked by Aliens.
Can build Cultivated Nests on xenomass- these have no upkeep and give 1 food, 1 culture and 1 science.

Their dedication to Planet and making sure they live a green life and preserve the local ecology gives them the following penalties:
Improvements upkeep cost 50% more.
Roads and magrails cost 25% more.
Cities have 10% more bad health.


As with others, I still need to finish changing all the dialogue to be more appropriate and update the Civopedia.

Just thought I'd put a note here about this faction too. The first thing I wanted to do was remove the disconnect between Harmony needing xenomass, but also leading to nests being destroyed. I could get workers to build nests anywhere, but no aliens ever spawned from them. Instead I decided to change them to be a more 'green' improvement than xenomass wells. Technically they're Alien Nests, but no aliens spawn in them unfortunately. Not sure how the spawns are defined.

Because this wasn't really that much of a benefit, more an incidental bit of flavour, I wanted to increase the Harmony rank and yields from miasma. Miasma yields didn't work (again like nests it's referred to in xml, but doesn't seem to be controlled from there), so I changed to unimproved forest and marsh yield improvements. The Harmony boost was too strong at level 1 because of the combat improvements, so I stuck to 10exp, which is one less than a full level and should prove useful later on without being op, and promotes the Harmony tree.

This works with The Lord's Believers faction, the Spartan faction, the Peacekeepers and the SMAC quotes. No other mods tried (although I can't see why they wouldn't work).

Are you going to have full 3d effects?, Ithink it sucks to have a pic and no movement or speach, but that's just me, maybe.
