Verde Station on Early Access tomorrow
Verde Station has been Greenlit!
Release date: FALL 2014
About the Game:
Verde Station is a first-person exploration game set on a space station. During your year long solo mission you begin to question your sanity.
No actual spoilers here but if you were curious enough to read this, this game is probably for you.
What do you trust most - what you see, what you're told, or your instincts? You begin on Day 1 of a year long solo mission aboard Verde Station. Your only companion is the station computer - D.A.V.E. Your job is to monitor the Greenhouse: trees and plants that will later be used off-site. As you explore the station you begin to question everything about it. Have you been here too long? How long have you been here?
I'm not trying to trick you, I'm just making a point. Curiosity is good. I am definitely a really big fan.
Verde Station is an interactive exploration game. Examine every detail of the station, pick up and view items, and interact with computer terminals. You will uncover clues about the station and have to decide if you can trust what you see and hear.
The more curious you are, the more you'll get out of this game. You'll get more out of life as well.
Key Features:
  • Interactive Exploration: Examine every item in the station or just a few. Some items even react to how you interact with them. The more you explore, the more story you reveal, and the more you discover about what's really happening.

  • No combat or puzzles: But there are rewards for those that explore everything. I'm sure this game will get tagged as a "Walking Simulator" but that's OK with me. Go as fast or as slow as you like throughout the station. Only the most engaged players will find everything their first play through.

  • Oculus Rift support: Don't have a Rift? DON'T WORRY. The game works perfect on regular monitors. Either way, the game tries to keep you immersed in the experience as much as possible.
The game is designed to surprise you, not to trick you. Surprises are a great reward for curiosity.
Where can I find out more?
If you made here, please share Verde Station on Twitter, Facebook, and public bathroom walls.

No, jajunior, this is not a horror game. No jump scares. It does have it's moments that are a bit mysterious or slightly creepy but it's not a horror game.

are there any horror elements (aka jump scares) in this game?

I know that, don't teach a spaniard his mother tongue!
I meant, why call it green in spanish? trying to be fancy here?

Verde is green in Spanish. The station's main module is a greenhouse.

That would be wonderful, subscreenstudios. Shoot me an email if you can. I plan to release v1 of the game and then one of my first updates will be adding language support. I'll reach out when it's time.
