Starting next week, our Big Battle Nights are going to change days, from Monday nights to Tuesday nights. You can hop on our Teamspeak server, and play with the guys who work on the game! During our Battle Nights, you can also chat with us about ideas, suggestions, and upcoming features, as well as help us beta test, if that interests you.

The starting time remains the same, so our next Battle Night will be Tuesday, October 28th, at 7PM EST. (4 PM Pacific)

For those who haven't joined our Teamspeak server before, we hope to hear from you there! The address is:

One other important announcement: We're planning tournaments for the near future. If you'd like to sign up for our Tournament/Big Battles mailing list, you can do so here: For now, we don't anticipate sending out more than two emails per month, as we don't intend to hold more than two tournaments per month. (Hey, we don't like spam, either!)

Battle with us Monday, Sept. 8, at 7PM EST! (4PM PST)
  • Science abilities now work from almost any angle.
  • Scanned targets now have a more detailed log, including system health, and what they're targeting.
  • Missions and Player Created Scenarios have been moved from within Open Space to the main menu, to make it easier for you to jump right into the action. (Access to Player Created Scenarios requires an upgraded account, however.)

One upcoming feature (that still isn't ready for testing) is the ability to fire beams outside of the forward arc on the larger ships. This will give Tactical officers more to do, and not rely on the Helm to line up every shot before they can fire something.

Release date: It's released already!
More Power To The Shields
You've always wanted to sit in a big captain's chair and shout, "More power to the shields!" and "Fire the torpedoes!" I have too, and this is why I built Quintet.

Quintet is a scifi cooperative, cross-platform, multiplayer, "crew" game where players work harmoniously to control the same ship. There are 5 roles: Captain, Helm, Tactical, Engineering and Science. How successful you are will depend on how well you all work together.

There are multiple types of ships for 1 to 5 playes per ship. All of the different ships can play with (or against) each other in the same missions. Windows, Mac, Linux, Web Browser and Tablet/Mobile users can all play together! You can all play over the Internet or on your LAN as well.

There are several missions/scenarios to choose from including favorites such as Capture the Flag and King of the Hill.

Once I get a decent internet connection this game will definitely move up to be one of my most anticipated games. Looks simply awesome! Love the whole idea of cooperating with everyone else on a single ship.

As of this post, Quintet is 68% of the way to the top 100 on Greenlight! Thank you so very much for the support so far, everyone; we wouldn't be doing this well without you!

I've played this at some SciFi conventions with lots of people in the same room. It's awesome. I've since brought it back to the office where people play with iPads and laptops and phones: bring-your-own-device awesomeness! Highly recommended!
