Foreword

  • *spell* means Middle Mouse button. Otherwise, Right Click is assumed.
  • represents any compatible element of your choice.
  • The order you queue elements doesn't matter.
Tips
Always keep a ward on! Each Ward(ring) cuts that specific elements damage by 1/2.

Beam is the best spell in the game. It will out heal 95% of any spell/combo damage.

Channeling is very strong self heals.

Use or shield against beams IMMEDIATELY!

Charged is high long ranged damage.

are high damage Mines.

is a high damage AOE.

Atleast one Ring prevents Burning. Ring prevents Chill.

prevents Knockdown.

If you cast any Lightning spell while you're wet, you will SHOCK YOURSELF.

Use to heal up while running between points.

Don't use Elemental Storms. (EQ, EQQ, ER, ERR, EF, EFF, EA, EAA, EAR, EAF, EAW, EAS)
Tricks & Combos
!SES Ward -> SES Mines -> !SFS = KA-BOOM!

-> = IMA SITH LORD!!

-> -> (Repeat) = They've fallen and Can't Get Up...

Single Element -> (MELEE or ) = BLITZKRIEG!!

-> = A Shocking amount of CC
Advanced Tips
Most learning is done by following a good player around, healing them and, watching how they play.

Inside !E domes all beams are COMPLETELY negated.

It's a good idea to disable "Self spell on self click" in Keybindings. If you don't have middle mouse, rebind it.

Switch to a Fire Ward when you're on Fire. Switch to a Ward when you're Wet.

If Mines are lain under you, DON'T MOVE! (hit the stomp moving button) Stepping off them detonates them. Ward the damage before you move or before they are detonated.

Chain cast spells by quickly queuing elements, and reclicking and holding Right/Middle Click.

1 Lightning Ward will prevent any Lightning mini-stuns.

You cannot have an Wall and an Barrier out at the same time.

will go through every wall but, the one with the same element you chose for

DON'T dome if you're getting healed.

!QEF prevents Steam QF damage.
!QER and Rock Wards block Ice QR damage.

You can overlap/remove enemy Walls, Mines, and Elemental Storms by laying your own Wall, Mines, or Storms on top of theirs.
Final Word
Remember: There is always a counter. Rate the Guide. Good Luck and Have Fun!

There are A LOT more Advanced Tips. If this generates enough interest, I will create a part 2 detailing all those ins-and-outs, starting with the most useful.

There is also my Indepth Spreadsheet[docs.google.com] detailing each spells Damage Distribution and Damage-Per-Second.

You forgot to tell them that team games are a bad start. Duel is the best choice for new players because they would not make a team fail, and they would also get the most from their starting booster.

Knockdown was patched/re-fixed 2 days ago. I was the first to discover that frame months and months ago.

also you can't even cancel elements when knocked so if you were trying to cast and got knock-spammed it's kill
Garket Mardener Sep 12, 2014 @ 12:21pm

Self Cast was patched so, when held down it will Cast the queued spell as soon as possible. To counter stomp chaining, queue an !EDx Ward and hold Middle Mouse.

Update: Wall Arming Timers Back. Removed some combos. P.S. Dev's won't fix chain quaking until it's a widespread problem. You can counter chain quaking by MASHING !EDx hard.
