Introduction

Hello! I am ArealFloodAdvisory, and I made this guide!

I took the time to record this due to several common complaints and lack-of-knowledgings that friends, family, and myself have had when first playing this game. While I played, I tried to focus on the stuff that seemed to have had everyone confused at first, such as which starting ships are which, how to colonize new systems and within systems, cosmic strings versus wormholes, and how influence bubbles affect everything nearby.

Tried to listen to your video; even when turned volume up to 98%, I could not hear them .

A fantasic set of video tutorials by a pleasant sounding lady who knows what she's talking about.
i havn't seen them all yet cuz 10 X 15 minutes, takes a while.

But for my fellow newbies to this game. the tutorial is nearly useless (it took me 1/2 hr just to move my ship) and trying to read thru other peoples walkthrus are beyond tedious. some are beyond verebose, and wordy.

My advice is to play for a while, just to get the jist of it, then watch her videos to the point where you are at. she does go fast and assumes you know the basics of 4X games.

Now I go play with a clue!
