Description
NOTE: This Mod REQUIRES Realm of the Diggle Gods Expansion (RotDG) to run properly.

What is "Runecasting"?
It's no doubt the most versatile magic skill in the game. Healing? got it. Damage? got it. Buffs? got it. Summons? got it. Teleport? got it.
How does it work? each level of Runecaster allows you to synthesize different rune pieces that can be used to craft powerful runeword spells.
Use your N-Dimensional lathe to craft runewords.
You can also use your Alchemy kit to transmute rune pieces into other rune pieces of the same level.
What's the drawback? You have to prepare your runeword spell ahead of time, but once it's ready you can cast it for free.

...Oh yeah, and say goodbye to your backpack space....

jokes on you the dlc that lets you have a dimension room to travel to and put stuff there is a blessing that the devs have made so backpack space is ok with me :)

For some reason the starting runes don't seem to work. Are you having this problem with other runes that you've created?

Currently, whether it's an issue with my mods as a whole, or this mod in specific, I cannot do ANY actual Runecrafting. All of the various Lathe and Alchemy Kit recipes do not recognize my rune items, so I can't do the recipes.

... this definetly changes how you play. I always feel like I need all the runes I can possible have leading me to spam it whenever I have extra mana which I usually do when I am doing a magic run... So it has really lengthened my runs by a few hours per floor...

This skill is absolutely awesome. I don't think I can say anything that hasn't already been said, but I do want to say good job on the artwork. While it isn't always great, it is extremely consistent, which is in my opinion more important.

Echoing Faster Than You/Mailim; there's a similar bug with runewords, where some rune words are "Runeword Of <X>" and some are "Rune Word Of <X>" and as such they don't stack, even if they're the same rune type. If this gets fixed sometime down the pipe, that'd be awesome to see! I'm liking the Runewords as additional throwing ammunition on my character regardless, though.

Still my favorite not-my mod in the game. As David of the Gaslamp Games people said when this came out, "Seriously, this is an amazing skill concept, an exceedingly clever combination of existing game systems. I wish we'd thought of it!"

Small issue: I've had it so that the handful of runes my character begins with don't register as being the same runes as the ones you create with the spell. So they don't stack with them and they aren't usable in the runeword recipes. Might be something on my end and it's no big deal, just mentioning.
