Orbit: Satellite Defense [AWAITING APPROVAL ON STEAM]
  • Campaign Mode: 4 Planets, 5 levels each!
  • Endless + Challenge Modes: Put your tactical satellite skills to the test!
  • Unique Satellites + Enemies: Every Satellite has it's role, every enemy has its weakness. Learn the intricacies of each!
  • Dynamic Difficulty: The better you get at the game, the more the Spawner Systems will challenge you
  • Designed for Desktop: Optimized for Mouse/Keyboard! Orbit has shed it's mobile past.
  • More to come: Look forward to new features, levels, and game-modes coming in future updates!
To re-assure everyone, I am intent on doing Early Access right, that means the game is nearly finished and (as far as I can tell from extensive play-testing) has NO known Bugs or Crash errors! Plus, this way the remaining development effort will be tailored to exactly what players want from OSD.

I hope everyone is as excited for the upcoming release as I am.

Improvements on a 5 Star App
  • New Campaign Mode: That's right, LEVELS! Not just "Endless" There will be 3 Worlds with 5 Levels each along with additional levels as FREE UPDATES to anyone who as purchased the game. Right now, the roadmap has 2 additional worlds planned out.
  • Updated Satellites: All satellites now gain a significant bonus from Manual Targeting, driving home that THIS is what Orbit is all about; Active play! A range-boost for the Railgun, a damage-boost for the Laser Satellite, and a Multi-Lock-On system for the Missile Satellite.
  • Updated Aliens: Tweaked and re-balanced aliens to make them feel all the more fun to fight. Plus, now when you shoot them, they spray out gooey chunks! Hooray for visceral damage-feedback!
  • Updated controls: Right mouse-click now activates your Manual Targeting without the need for popping open a menu. This is obviously something that wouldn't work on touch-screens, but I hope this underscores the fact that this is a FULL DESKTOP RELEASE, NOT A PORT of a mobile game! Other such changes include Hotkeys for EVERYTHING, and a few mechanical tweaks to update the pace of the game as a result. Orbit as you experience it on PC will never translate back to mobile hardware.
  • Other Things:Added a Sun. Solar Satellites give more energy the closer they are to it. Healer Satellites now Heal for more the further they are from your planet. Risk/Reward! EBEs: GONE took the most boring things out of the game and replaced them with Planetary Powers! Temporary (and incredibly powerful) abilities that can be activated at a moment's notice when you are in dire need; an Overshield to make your planet INVULNERABLE, a Scanner-Sweep to reveal the direction of incoming aliens, and MORE! SO. MUCH. MORE.
Orbit is coming, and I'm SO EXCITED for everyone to see what the game has become. I started with a 5/5 Star App and made it BETTER in SO MANY WAYS.

Release date: February 2018
Orbit is Tower Defense Redefined.
You must protect your planet from incoming alien attacks by sending satellites into orbit to fight them off. The game includes Real Time Strategy elements like the ability to manually move and swap your satellites around the planet and dictate their targets to create a more immersive experience unlike any TD game you've played before. Each enemy and satellite is unique, allowing you to get better at the game as you learn their strengths and weaknesses. Every game mode features a dynamic difficulty curve to keep the game fun and engaging.

Whoops, haha! Well caught. Unfortunately I can't time travel and release the game last Spring, but I can edit that post. Thanks AGAIN :)

I do! Except it says 2016. I know 2017 looks cringeworthy from here, but ya gotta start using it.

Orbit is coming soon to Steam! Zarnok Fortress was well under way while this project was Greenlit, so that was finished first. I'm fleshing out a Campaign mode and working on other improvements to make the game a worthwhile addition to Steam

All recent social media updates appear to be on the game started later, called Zarnok Fortress. Last reference to Orbit on their Tumblr appears to be in 2013. Assume abandoned.
