Starting Out
(If you don't have experience with the game, this may be the most important part.)
You start out on a fresh new world with only a pickaxe, an axe & a shortsword, as you may have figured out there is a guy standing around you... well meet the guide! maybe the most annoying person for some people but definetly a helpful crafting guide even through end-game.

Now of course, during this Halloween Update you will want to grab all the pumkins you can find, but before that you want to cut around a stack of wood since that would be enough to last you if you use it wisely. Get some stone as it is required for a furnace, and kill some slimes for gel (don't be fooled by their bunny masks), craft a workbench [click esc by default to enter the inventory, on the bottom left you will see some vertical items, those are the things you can craft] and place it, make a decent wood/ stone/ (un-recommended)dirt layout and make a three blocks high gap for the doors [right click to open].

Fill the layout you have made with wood/ stone walls (dirt walls dont count as a house) and then place the door(s), remember to put a table and a chair down in each room if you want an NPC[terraria.gamepedia.com] to move in, (note that crafting tables count as Tables) also place a lightsource (most likely a torch) and by then you should have the guide moved in. After you made your house consider making 3-4 rooms before you move out exploring because NPCs can spawn without you being at your house.

Once done and still have a lot of wood (which you likely will) craft some wood armor, or Pumpkin if you got up to that. Now remember to craft broadsword not shortswords, because shortswords are simply... bad [sprry shortsword lovers]. Go around looking for caves and avoid any purple/ red biomes becuase they are too risky, go into caves and look for ores and loot, personally i take my anvil, workbench and furnace with me to craft things on-the-go, look out for the night should be here any Moment.

[All Hyperlinks link to the official Terraria website, if you recieve a message saying that this is not an official steam website is because it uses the internet browser not steam browser]
Surviving the First Night
Now we get to the part where night Falls and the moon rises, if this is your first (or one of the first) nights then i highly recommend staying indoors, this is where you need a sword higher than the wooden sword, (here is a list of all the Swords[terraria.gamepedia.com]) because zombies can be a pain in the Bum for new players. I find two easy ways for escaping the night, 1) AFK (idle from the keyboard for approx of 10 mins) 2) go in a cave deep down where zombies and demon eyes don't spawn, but for me I'd rather kill zombies in hope of getting the Shackle[terraria.gamepedia.com] they drop granting atleast 1 Defence.

The night should be a simple but tough 10 minutes, but as the time progresses you will find yourself flying through ingame days without realising.
Crafting + Crafting Stations & What They Do
This Section will not only list the easymode crafting stations, it will show you what major items are crafted on each one, techniques and easy-to-navigate links to the Official Terraria Wiki[terraria.gamepedia.com]

(Warning, following link will include hardmode crafting stations)Crafting stations[terraria.gamepedia.com] are pieces of furniture which are required to craft items. To craft, simply stand within range of a crafting station and the items available to craft will appear in the crafting bar in the player's inventory. The Demon Altar is unique in that it is not a placeable furniture item, but is instead generated with the world.
There are currently 24 crafting stations in the game, 12 of those are in easymode (with Table and Chair included).

Easymode Crafting station progression

Work Bench: crafted by hand from Wood
Wooden Table, Wooden Chair: crafted at the Work Bench from Wood
Furnace: crafted at the Work Bench, from Wood, Stone, and Torches
Alchemy Station: created by placing a Bottle, Pink Vase or Mug on top of any surface (Wood Platforms and furniture)
Iron Anvil: crafted at the Furnace from Iron Bars
Cooking Pot: crafted at the Iron Anvil from Iron Bars
Sawmill: crafted at the Workbench, from an Iron Chain and Iron Bars
Keg & Loom: crafted at the Sawmill
Hellforge: found in The Underworld, generated with the world inside Ruined Houses
Imbuing Station: purchased from the Witch Doctor

Easymode Crafting station, What they do and how to craft them

Work Bench

The Work Bench[terraria.gamepedia.com] is a crafting station required to craft many essential early-game items. It is also one possible way to fulfill a House's flat surface item requirement. Bottles, Pink Vases, and Mugs can be placed on it, allowing it to function as an Alchemy Station. It is the first crafting station the player can make in the game, and one of the first items overall.
There are many variations on the Work Bench, all of which are exactly the same except for appearance. Most of these can be crafted, but some must be picked up from areas such as the Dungeon[terraria.gamepedia.com].

Major Crafting Recipes.
  • Wooden Chair
  • Chest[terraria.gamepedia.com]
  • Wooden Table
  • Sawmill[terraria.gamepedia.com]
  • Wooden Sword[terraria.gamepedia.com]
  • Wooden Hammer[terraria.gamepedia.com]
  • Wooden Bow
  • Wood Helmet
  • Wood Breastplate
  • Wood Greaves
  • Wooden Fence
  • Furnace[terraria.gamepedia.com]
  • Armor Statue
  • Iron Anvil[terraria.gamepedia.com]

Furncae

A Furnace is a crafting station that is mainly used to smelt ores into bars and turn Sand into Glass. It is also a light source. However, it cannot smelt all ores; Hellstone requires at least a Hellforge. 20 Stone, 4 Wood and 3 Torches are needed to craft a Furnace[terraria.gamepedia.com]

Major Craftables:

  • Copper Bar
  • Iron Bar
  • Silver Bar
  • Gold Bar
  • Demonite Bar
  • Meteorite Bar

Alchemy Station

An Alchemy Station[terraria.gamepedia.com] is a crafting station required to make potions. The term 'Alchemy Station' is debated, as it does not actually exist anywhere in the game. The recipes associated with it are made when near a Bottle, Pink Vase, Mug, or a Lesser Healing Potion or Lesser Mana Potion from the Dungeon. The most common way of placing these items is on a Work Bench, Wooden Table, or Platform; this setup is what is generally known as an Alchemy Station. No Crafting Recipes for this one since if you give a guide a bottled water, he will tell you all crafting recipes for it and they are only craftable on the 'Alchemy Station'.

Iron/ Lead Anvil

An Iron Anvil is a crafting station used mainly to forge weapons and armor. Most of its recipes require metal bars, although is also used to make some without, such as the Jungle tier of equipment. It has an alternate ore version in the Lead Anvil, which functions identically to it. It is a vital crafting station for most of the game. In addition to being crafted, it can also be bought from the merchant. Crafted using 5 Iron/ Lead Bars.

The list is too big, for crafting recipes check out this page: http://terraria.gamepedia.com/Iron_Anvil
, same link is Iron Anvil[terraria.gamepedia.com].

Cooking Pot will not be mentioned....

Sawmill, Keg & Loom

A Sawmill[terraria.gamepedia.com] is a crafting station for advanced Wood crafting. Basic wood crafting is done at a Work Bench. The Sawmill is 3 blocks wide, 3 blocks high, and must be placed on top of solid blocks or Wood Platforms.

A Loom is a crafting station that is required in order to "weave" Silk, as well as to craft most (but not all) items made with Silk. It is 3 blocks wide, 2 blocks high, and must be placed on top of solid blocks or Wood Platforms.

A Keg is a crafting station that is used to brew Ale. The Keg is two blocks wide, two blocks high, and may be placed on top of solid blocks, flat surface items, and Wood Platforms. The Keg can be found in randomly generated underground cabins.

Craftings for Sawmill:

  • Planked Wall
  • Wooden Beam
  • Mannequin
  • Bed
  • Silk
  • Bookcase
  • Barrel
  • Grandfather Clock
  • Grandfather Clock
  • Loom
  • Dresser
  • Bench

Craftings for Loom:

  • Goblin Battle Standard
  • Silk
  • Red Banner
  • Green Banne
  • Blue Banner
  • Yellow Banner
  • Hero's Vanity Set
  • Tuxedo Vanity Set
  • All Robe Kinds

Craftings For Keg:

  • Ale... Only Ale :>

Hellforge

A Hellforge is a crafting station that incorporates the same functions as a regular Furnace with the additional bonus of being able to smelt Hellstone into Hellstone Bars.
It is found in The Underworld and can be moved above ground. Hellforges in the Underworld require a 60% power pickaxe (Nightmare Pickaxe/Deathbringer Pickaxe) or better, or by destroying the blocks below it (which is the only way to obtain Hellforges if you don't have a strong enough pickaxe yet). Hellforges above the Underground layer can be moved with any pickaxe. The Hellforge is 3 blocks wide, 2 blocks high, and must be placed on top of solid blocks or Wood Platforms. Hellforges are commonly used to drain a large body of water or even oceans. To do so you have to dig a small hole (3 blocks wide, 4 blocks deep) under water and then close the ceiling. After that you need to drain the small hole of water, place a Hellforge at the bottom and pour a bucket of lava on it. Then you can destroy the ceiling to let the water drain. This is because the Hellforge prevents it from forming obsidian, so the water disappears.

Used to Craft Hellstone Bars.

Imbuing Station

The Imbuing Station is a crafting station that allows you to create Flasks. Flasks imbue melee weapons (which includes Boomerang-type weapons and any other weapon that inflicts melee damages) with special abilities for limited periods of time, although only one special effect will be active at any time, with the latest imbuement overriding prior non-expired imbuements. It can be purchased from the Witch Doctor.
Accessories
Accessories are items that you can equip to gain more defense or special abilities, such as limited flight. You can equip up to five accessories simultaneously. You cannot equip more than one of the same accessory, but Tinkerer's Workshop[terraria.gamepedia.com] can help you create accessories with multiple effects.

The list is too long for me to fit at the moment, if you want a list please check this page[terraria.gamepedia.com]. But BEWARE, as there are no spoiler alerts on that page.
Environments
I will put a spoiler tab on every hardmode item/biome or thing, to know the name or details hover mouse over the black bar like this> well done

Caves

This may be the first big change in your character's virtualy endless life. Caving is arguable one of the most important game requirments for full completion, caves are a part of the uniqe Terraria Environment[terraria.gamepedia.com] (the hyperlink will take you to the page where all environments are listed), Caves are made out of 3 major sections, plus many Subsections;

The Underground
From the depth of 0ft and below, you are in the underground, music will change and background will change, the underground is the highest Cave level other than surface, Ores and gems will vary in sizes but mostly small-medium sized veins of gems will appear, will gold/platinum begin almost impossible to find in the underground.

The Cavern
The biggest biome in terraria [covering atleast 50%] is the key to most valuable items in-game, ore veins are mostly medium-huge and gold/platinum are scattered everywhere, golden chests and weird wooden rooms are more likely with better loot than the Underground, lookout though because new players will have a hardtime to survive.

The Underworld

This biome is the hardest to get to and the hardest to survive in through out the whole game, getting to the underworld will be defined with the sudden change of background, in the screenshot below i got to the underworld. The underworld is the key to hardmode and the key to the best easymode items.

Floating Islands

Floating islands have changed since the past updates, they were made out of golden blocks and now the texture is different, in this screenshot i found a floating island using gravitation potions and some luck. every floating island have an essential item (3 items in total) the Shiny Red Balloon[terraria.gamepedia.com], the Lucky Horse shoe[terraria.gamepedia.com] which is probably one of the best items up until you get wings (fall damage prevention), and finaly the Starfury[terraria.gamepedia.com] which is an amazing weapon especialy if you find it early-game. To find floating islands (easy way) look at this video, if that dosent help then get a waterbolt [from dungeon, which i will cover] and shoot in different directions up, if a water sphere bounces back then there is a floating island somewhere.

Jungle (surface)

The Jungle is one of the Hardest Surface and Underground Biome, i will be covering the underground jungle further on its own. The Jungle is full of jungle bats and Snatchers[terraria.gamepedia.com], which will give you a hardtime without the right equipments, for me the Jungle Surface is the source for Rich Mahgony[terraria.gamepedia.com] Wood, and now without further ado, the...

Underground Jungle

The underground jungle is a large biome mostly located under the Jungle, the underground jungle is like a treasure chest for Life Crystals[terraria.gamepedia.com], Gems[terraria.gamepedia.com] and Jungle Shrines[terraria.gamepedia.com] (containing jungle chest and a jungle themed item). If, when exploring the underground jungle you come across an orange Temple, this is the (hardmode Spoiler name alert!) Lizhard Temple As for enemies, different sized Hornets and Man Eaters. Underground Jungle also include Bee Hives, be sure not to destroy the queen bee thing or she will spawn!

Snow Biome (under and over Ground)

The Snow biome is a great biome, the snow biome for me had been near the Crimson or Corruption, you will know if you have a crimson or corruption by the color of ice [red or blue] the overground snow biome dosent have much use other than snow..., but going down under the snow biome is where things start getting interesting, Underground Snow is a place where spiked ice slimes and viking skeletons live, it is also the home to the ice chest which include either an ice blade, or the amazing blizzard in a bottle.

Crimson & Corruption

Those two biomes are probably the hardest easymode biomes, because of the equipment needed to venture through them, in this section i will talk about differences, and similarities, also about techniques defeating either boss (boss names are in the next 2 spoilers), Eater or Worlds or the Brain of Cthulu.

Similarities & Differences;
1) You can only have either a Crimson or Corruption in a single world, this is a 50-50 chance
2) You can know what biome you have depending on the color of the ice on the snow biome (purple or red)
3) The crimson has it's own boss Brain of Cthulu
4) Crimson Boss is easier to defeat for many people
5) Crimtane Ore is the Demonite Ore alternative
The Crimson The Crimson is a slightly harder version of the Corruption, containing very annoying Face Monsters, and everyone's most hated, spiders, unlike the Corruption the Crimson will have hearts instead of shadow orbs, Hearts will drop the Undertaker on first go, then other Corruption Alternatives on other hearts. Crimson Alters look different and more creepy than demon alters. All three messages when destroying shadow orbs are the same and in the same order for hearts.

Deserts

Deserts are biomes full of sand, there are 4 types of deserts(Crimson Desert, Corruption Desert, Normal Desert, Hallow Desert, three of them being in easy mode and being able to only have 3 different types of deserts on a single world(Normal + Crimson or Corruption + Hallow, Deserts are the only way to obtain Cactus, therefor deserts are AWESOME. But be sure to keep a lookout for Pyramids. Pyramids are sub-biomes in the deserts, with a decent "unlikely" chance of spawning on any size world, but have amazing loot.

Ocean

Oceans are the last environment type ill be talking about, they are a pretty simple area full of water, with a chance of having the cool ocean chest, also they are the only place sharks spawn. Keep killing sharks in hope of finding their famous diving helmet.
Dungeon
I have decided to make the dungeon its own section, mainly because it is a great place and unlike many other biomes, it is a limitedbut very fun-to-explore place.

The Dungeon is a Blue /or Pink /or Green Building on one side of the map, if you happen to stumble across the Jungle know that the Dungeon is on the opposite side of the map (100%). As you come across the Castle like structure you will find the old man NPC, once having enough HP (optional) and good weapons and armor (optional), you can talk to him at night time and click the "Curse" Button, doing that will summon the great Skeletron[terraria.gamepedia.com], now beware fellow explorer; trying to enter the dungeon before killing skeletron will summon the legendary Dungeon Guardians[terraria.gamepedia.com] and will kill you instantly.

Inside the Dungeon you will find Gothic Parts and Normal Dungeon Parts, be sure to grab some of the suff since you would want to keep a memory of every visit. Inside the dungeon is full of locked chests, needing a key which you will stumble apon during exploring, if you find funny colored chests in your dungeon, these wont come to any use up untill hardmode.
NPCs
In this section, ill be talking about every single obtainable easymode NPC[terraria.gamepedia.com], and what they do.
This list is in the same order as the Terraria[terraria.gamepedia.com] Website.

1) The Guide[terraria.gamepedia.com] spawns with the player when they start a new world. He provides tips and crafting recipes.
2) The Dye Trader[terraria.gamepedia.com] sells the Dye Vat work station which allows you to process and craft dyes. The Dye Trader is acquired when you have dye or any item used to make a Dye.
3) The Merchant[terraria.gamepedia.com] is acquired when all players combined have more than 50 Silver Coin in their inventories. He sells certain basic tools.
4) The Painter[terraria.gamepedia.com] sells paints and equipment used to paint blocks and walls different colors. Acquired after having 3 other NPCs.
5) The Demolitionist[terraria.gamepedia.com] is acquired when you have an explosive in your Inventory. He sells explosives, and, in hardmode he sells Hellfire Arrows and Explosive Powder.
6) The Nurse[terraria.gamepedia.com] is acquired when you have found and used a Crystal Heart to increase your life capacity above the initial 100. She can fully heal players in exchange for coins.
7) The Dryad[terraria.gamepedia.com] is acquired when you have beaten a Boss other than King Slime and Wall of Flesh. She buys and sells certain nature/corruption items, and can tell the player the percentage of Corruption and Hallow in the world.
8) The Party Girl [terraria.gamepedia.com]sells the Bubble Machine work station which allows you to make bubbles. She also sells the confetti gun and fireworks. The Party Girl has a spawn chance of 2% every dawn
9) The Arms Dealer[terraria.gamepedia.com] is acquired when you have bullets, or a gun that shoots bullets, in your inventory. He sells certain guns, bullets, and after the Eater of Worlds has been defeated, Unholy Arrows.
10) The Goblin Tinkerer[terraria.gamepedia.com] is found bound somewhere underground after defeating a Goblin Invasion. He sells items such as the Tinkerer's Workshop, and can reforge tools and equipment.
11) The Witch Doctor[terraria.gamepedia.com] sells the Blowgun, the Imbuing Station and various Fountains. The Witch Doctor is acquired after you defeat Queen Bee.
12) The Old Man and the Clothier The Old Man[terraria.gamepedia.com] is found at the entrance to a Dungeon. He summons Skeletron, but only at night. Once Skeletron is defeated, the Old Man is no longer present, as it can be inferred that the curse he was afflicted with is removed and he becomes the Clothier.
The Clothier[terraria.gamepedia.com] is acquired after you defeat Skeletron. He sells certain Vanity items, including the Familiar clothes. Note: Once the Clothier arrives, the Old Man despawns permanently (they are the same person).
13) finaly, The Mechanic[terraria.gamepedia.com] which is found bound in the Dungeon. She sells wire and other mechanical items.
Goblin Invasion
The Golblin Invasion has a chance of happeneing every start of any day if the player has more than 200 Health, after defeating the goblin invasion you should have alot of Spiky Balls, plus a likely harpoon. Defeating the Golblin will spawn a Bound Goblin Tinkerer somewhere underground, talking to him will free him.
Bosses in Easymode
All sources and Boss information comes from this Page[terraria.gamepedia.com] but beware that this page contains ALL bosses, this includes hardmode ones.

Lets Start with the Simple Ones,

Eye of Cthulu

is a boss that is relatively hard for new players, but is very easy to master with the right Arena and equipment. The EoC [eye of cthulu] is a great and easy way to obtain some golden coins, Demonite/Crimtane Ore (depending on what biome you have)
Eater of Worlds

Eater of Worlds (EoW) is a very easy boss with the right equipment, Ball 'O' Hurt[terraria.gamepedia.com] , Vilethorn[terraria.gamepedia.com] + the Minishark[terraria.gamepedia.com]. Tactics for beating the boss are on the Website under the name of each boss it saus something like "for strategies on how to beat "bossname" check this guide" or somethign.

Skeletron

Skeletron is summoned by speaking to the Old Man and activating his curse at the entrance of the Dungeon at night. Prior to 1.2, once defeated it could not be summoned again in that world (unlike the other bosses); however as of 1.2 you can summon it again by killing the Clothier with the Clothier Voodoo Doll equipped. Defeating Skeletron allows you to freely access the Dungeon without being attacked by the Dungeon Guardian[terraria.gamepedia.com].

Wall Of Flesh

The Wall of Flesh is summoned by throwing the Guide Voodoo Doll[terraria.gamepedia.com] into a pool of lava in the Underworld while there is a living Guide in the world. Defeating this boss monster will irreversibly enable Hardmode[terraria.gamepedia.com] in your world, which will allow the creation of the summoning items for the 4 hardmode bosses. It can drop a variety of powerful items and, with hardmode enabled, players can break Demon Altars[terraria.gamepedia.com] in order to spawn the hardmode ores.

King Slime

The King Slime is a giant blue slime[terraria.gamepedia.com] with 2000 health. It is summoned with a Slime Crown[terraria.gamepedia.com], and can also rarely appear in the outer thirds of the map completely by itself. As with all monsters that can spawn naturally, the King Slime has a better chance of spawning while holding a Water Candle[terraria.gamepedia.com] or under the effects of a Battle Potion. The King Slime is a good challenge for a beginning player, and can be easily defeated by tactical use of terrain, and so, it is not usually considered a real boss. It is also the only boss not to drop a trophy.
The King Slime does not provide access to game-advancing items upon defeat, but will drop money and the Ninja clothes.

Brain Of Cthulu

The Brain of Cthulhu is summoned with the Bloody Spine[terraria.gamepedia.com]. It will also appear every time you shatter three Demon Hearts[terraria.gamepedia.com]. It can only be summoned in the Crimson[terraria.gamepedia.com]. It cannot be harmed at first untill you kill all of the Creepers around it, after they are all killed, it will go into its 2nd form, where it will charge at you and has only 1000HP, it is the only boss that is not immune to knockback.

Queen Bee

The Queen Bee is summoned by destroying the Queen Bee's offspring encased in honey in the beehive structure, which is located in the jungle, or by the use of an Abeemination[terraria.gamepedia.com] anywhere in the jungle.
Prepare for Hardmode in advance
Preparing for hardmode in advance is a great idea, it is the technique I used before I was very familiar with the game. To protect yourself from different biomes, follow all the steps below. Hope this section helps you. Thanks in advance.

As you start progressing through the game, you should have a pretty confident character, with a house all decked up. Now note that getting all easymode NPCs pre-hardmode is much easier than getting them in Hardmode, so here is a list followed by screenshots of NPCs.

  • The Guide
  • Merchant
  • The Dye Trader
  • The Painter
  • The Demolishist
  • The Nurse
  • The Dryad
  • The Party Girl
  • The Arms Dealer
  • The Witch Doctor
  • The Clothier
  • The Mechanic
  • The Goblin Tinkerer

This is a picture of all the Easymode NPCs In a Horizontal House:

Now, my house was prepared but to prepare it more, you need to make the house Floating, and preferabbly the ground 3 block deep wood, like this.(I changed the whole layout in this picture)

Now All you need to do is Fight the Wall Of Flesh and hope for the best.
Wall Of Flesh + Going into Hardmode
By now you should have explored all of your world and is ready to go into hardmode, now before you do you should make sure you have an inclosed area to stop Corruption and Hallow from coming in, this can be made by making a three block high wooden Area , this will insure no other biomes will spread in. After all of this is complete build a very wide single block arena across the underworld, this will be your arena for the Wall of Flesh. Make sure you have full Molten Armor and a Night's Edge, plus a guide voodoo doll for sacrifising it in lava, you get this by killing Voodoo Demons.

After you are completely ready, look at this tutorial here; WARNING PLEASE READ: This video will show some hardmode items, it is a 1.1.2 video but still is effective for defeating the WoF
Please Read
Thank you very much for reading my first guide, i will check the comments daily and look for any improvments, i am open for suggestions on improving this guide / what other guides i should make. If this guide impressed or helped you please share it, like it and add it to youur favourites, if it didn't please comment on ways i could improve it and i will try my best to improve it.

Thank you Very Much

Hardmode & Easy Mode all-you-need-to-know about Biomes
To start off, I would like to say that this may not be complete, for any further information either add me and chat to me, or request your question begin edited in the guide through the comments. (thanks Devhead39 for asking the question, this section is dedicated to you)

After Continuous days of testing i have figured out alot of thing:

1. Mushroom biome and Corruption/ Crimson biome will NOT interact, this is confirmed.
2. Mushroom biome and jungle biome will NOT interact meaning that after ingame months neither will spread on top of each other
3. Corruption and Crimson will start to go throught the jungle in hardmode, this is done by the game mechanics that allow those biomes to turn mud & (possibly clay) into dirt and take over it.

HARDMODE ONLY:

*Spoilers are not tagged in this section*

As soon as the world turns into hardmode, a V or X shape of hallow and corruption will go through the map. Corruption taking alot of the underground and brand new hallowed biomes, Hallowed biomes are equally strong to Corrupted ones and will not take over or get taken over.

Hallow will spawm much more difficult and different kinds of mobs, but for me i would pleasantly turn my land into hallowed just for the beauty of it (careful do not do this until you've got good enought armor and gear since Hallow is highly dangerou.)
