The official steam group has been made!
Early Access Phase 2 (open to all) scheduled! August 11th!
Description
Release date: Phase 1 Early Access is scheduled for June 29th, 2014, with Phase 2 later in July. Please read the "things to know" announcement
Colossal Kaiju Combat is a new fighting game franchise for 1-4 players to duke it out with gigantic monsters.
Created by the team who developed the classic Pipeworks/Atari Godzilla console games, CKC uses a radical "modular release" strategy, which will keep players afloat in new content for years.

Best of all, the game is being developed with total transparency and community input - most importantly our original playable characters have been developed and voted on by our fans! But we are also set up to release licensed characters like Godzilla, Gamera, Ultraman, Stay-Puft, Cthulhu, Megas XLR, Voltron, and so forth.

The free first release (Kaijuland Battles) is in an Alpha state, and we will launch an open Beta once we are approved & have Steam integration. We're also on Kickstarter - check the link to the right!

Game Features
  • 1-4 player battles, local or online!
  • 4 FREE characters with Kaijuland Battles
  • 2 FREE environments
  • Frequent new stand-alone games with new story modes, characters, and features!
  • Original playable characters designed in collaboration with our fans!
  • Gamepad(s) required for Beta

Our community is the greatest!

Colossal Kaiju Combat would not exist if it were not for our thousands of loyal fans. If you love giant monsters and/or fighting games, you need to join us! Our fans vote on every aspect of production - helping to design our health & combat system, menu options, and of course our playable roster of characters! Check us out at:

sunstone.co

Every Monday we reveal a new monster design created in collaboration with one of our fans - it's all part of our online design documentation. We at Sunstone Games take transparency VERY seriously, so we love showing off everything we have!

In addition to the video game, we have 3D-printed figurines of our playable characters, Trading Cards featuring hundreds of community-designed kaiju, and even a card game! Check out our storefront off the main page on sunstone.co

@WolfSpartan - right now, the game requires gamepads. Pretty hard to do 4-player local games on a keyboard! We're thinking about adding keyboard support - but it would always be TERRIBLE for controlling the game. Do we take time and money to add in a feature that will be unpleasant? How many people honestly want to play with a keyboard? This is an onging discussion in our forums - please feel free to jump in and contribute!

I'm not sure honestly. You'll have to ask sunstone about that.
