The Heck is 'Bricking'?
Well, the name come from both the name of the Characters, Bricktons, And the Ipod/phone condition called being Bricked. As people on the internet have put it...

"A bricked iPhone defines it as just that - a brick. The screen is black, you cannot get it to turn on, it cannot be used, you cannot call it, iTunes does not recognize it, etc."

Esentually, this is bad, since in survival mode you need all the hands you can get before Corruptrons come to Slaughter your Women and Children. This can happen on every task, and occasionally it'll fix itself, but if left unchecked it will cause you to lose.
Types of Bricks and How to fix them.
NOTE! These solutions are just from playing a game a little while, and both are subject to change from the developers and likely not the most efficent ways to solve them, but they work.

THE CURE ALL FIX:
Whatever the task, perhaps your bricktron is just sitting there, and you can't command him to do anything. The best solution is to go to the icon of the task, left click it, and then left click the worker. After a few moments, he resets his priorities and does whatever task is assigned to him. This will work 99% of the time, assuming the problem with the task is not any of the below.

Wood Bricks

Bricked Woodcutters.
For new players this will be something they'll definitely encounter. They'll send all their woodcutters to chop wood, and once they cut one down, they just sit there.

Solution: Go to the saw icon, and place some stockpiles. These look like flat wood planks. Once this is done, the Bricktons will all begin to place wood in these stockpiles, but will stop when there's no space left. So, be sure to build lots, which all are accessable.

Wood Buildings
Builders will just stop, and stand around while trying to build something using wood.

Solution: You may just be out of wood, or you may have a wood stockpile that's out of reach. Bricktons don't seem to want to pick from stockpiles if the base is below them, and they won't take from stockpiles diagonally.

Stone Bricks:

Won't move:
Your miners won't move, or hardly carry any stone, slowing down progress to a standstill.

Solution: Chances are, Your miners have been carrying a lot of Orange Crystal. This is what you use to make explosive barrels and lights, but the catch is that they can only be placed in barrels. This is found in the saw menu as well, build a few and now it should get filled up to the brim.

Suggestion for the developers.
In future versions, perhaps add thought bubbles with icons or something to indicate what's stopping Bricktons from completeing their tasks. Perhaps even having a shrugging animation or something along those lines.

So yeah, I hope this helped, comment if there's something I left out, and I hope you'll survive past round 4!

nope whenever your bricktrons do nothing that means you dont have any empty stockpiles

what about when your bricktrons get stuck on your do nothing and hang around the crystal task.
The one where when you command them onto a task they do one thing, just one thing (as a group) and then get stuck (again as a group).
I think this is a product of loading savegames but im not sure:csd2angry:

Too bad this game will never be anywhere near completed, look at us now, 4 years later, and nothing has changed.

Yep. This guide is a BIT outdated in that regard. You can put crystals in stockpiles now.

in response to bethany- Although orange crystal can now be put on stockpiles, in previous versions crystals could only be put in barrells.

"Chances are, Your miners have been carrying a lot of Orange Crystal. This is what you use to make explosive barrels and lights, but the catch is that they can only be placed in barrels." -- Just to say that orange crystal can be placed on stockpiles as well as in barrels :)

one final "Bricking" type is build bricking. This happens if something they are trying to build is inaccessable. To fix this, make sure that the bricktrons have a path where they can go upwards using inclines such as slopes of land or stair blocks. They can't climb up ladders or even just regular one high blocks/cliffs/logs that they normally could without their load. Jumping down one block is fine though anything more than that and they won't even without the load.

A final "Cure-all" solution, though this is more of a last resort is to save the game and then reload it. The AIs will reset and go about their jobs normally after you've reloaded.
