Alternate Player Outfits

Description
Alternate Player Outfits

This data-only content pack includes statted Npc alternate versions of the player outfits for player use.Once added via the Shadowrun Returns editor,The Alt.versions can be found in the editor "player outfits" list or on three equipment sheets.

Installation:

Steam:Subscribe.

NEXUS: Place the Alternate Player Outfits.zip file in your C:\Users\*current user*\AppData\Local\Harebrained Schemes\Shadowrun Returns\ContentPacks folder.
Or place it in Steam\steamapps\common\Shadowrun Returns\Shadowrun_Data\StreamingAssets\ContentPacks.

Editor:

A dependency on this pack must be assigned to the content pack (such as DMS) you wish to use it with in the SR editor. This can be done by opening the content pack that requires the dependency in the SR editor and under "file" selecting "Edit Content Pack Dependencies" and checking the box next to Alternate Player Outfits.Save

To add outfits as an item drop: In the editor, select a Scene and click on a prop, then in the properties window (should be lower right,if not, click "view" in the editor toolbar make certain "property browser"is checked)click on the hammer icon and select "item pickup" from the interaction type list and select item from the "player outfits" list.Be sure to UNcheck the "Destroy object on pickup" box.Save

To add to a vendor:In a Scene, click on a vendor model or the vendors name in the "Scene Contents" window.Next, click on the "edit character instance" icon in the properties window, the character editor should now open, choose the equipment tab.Make note of which Eq. sheet the vendor currently has if you wish to match it (the Seamstress Union scenes are not listed in chronological order in the editor,I believe the last is numbered c15-s1).Now,scroll the equipment sheet list until you find "Merchant_outfit_(high,med,or low)_alt",click on one of them and add it using the green plus symbol. The Merchant "med_alt" Eq. sheet includes the items in the "low_alt" sheet and naturally the "high_alt" includes the med_alt and low_alt as well.Save

Suggested Installation:Locate the Alternate Player Outfits.zip or .cpz and unzip in a new folder on the desktop.Place the files from the "items" and "chars" folders directly into their corresponding folders in the Shadowrun Returns 'Content Packs' Seattle folder. This way, it's possible to "import" one of these outfits,(when worn by the character at the time of a previous game save)along with the character to any mod dependent on Seattle.

If a character appears in only underwear, use the F1 key to view an error message which will indicate the outfit that the game is unable to load.

All of the files in the Items and Chars folder have "alt". in the name of the file except: 'player_Riggerflightsuithair.item.bytes' and 'player_samuraibunnymaskless.item.bytes'.The Items folder has twenty-nine files;the Chars folder, three.

Issues:
The adeptninja outfit, which in the game is "Secure ninja clothing" had a red alt. version that appeared to have UV maps that have not been aligned yet.So I regretfully replaced it with the SINless rags outfit,it will hide side-burns.

Player_samuraibunnymaskless,which in the game is identified as "Ganger Maskless" is missing the shoulderpad and pants props on the human female version.(screenshots)

Added hair(horns)versions of the "Milspec" and alternate.Expect clipping with some hair models.

Update: Raw, uncooked, text resource files available for modders at Nexus Mods.

Something changed, I'm now unable to get my editor to launch.

When changing scenes, make sure that the new scene actually loads, double clicking on the scene name should force it to load.

If you are feeling brave, just go through all of the Seamstress Union scenes, and add the matching _alt list to Eric's inventory. (Merchant_outfit_low, add Merchant_outfit_low_alt, etc.)

i altered Eric and added the add'l equipment and then skimmed through a few of the seamstress scenes and saw him in a few and he was already altered but I couldn't figure out which scene I am on/in.
My saved game is Loose Ends. I am about to go to Sam's funeral. I checked the discussions and just plain Google but had no success.
Again, sorry for the back and forth and my inability to get this right! >.<

Thank you!

In the scene mentioned below, if you click on Cherry and open her "prop interaction hammer symbol" menu, you'll see that her convo ID is "Cherrybomb" or something, which is dialogue.

If you do the same with Eric, you'll see that his convo ID is "outfit_store". That might explain why she wouldn't sell you anything, that might also answer your question as to how to get any NPC to sell merchandise. But again, I don't recommend trying to do that.

Looks as though the initial Seamstress Union scene is "c04-s1 seamstress". Eric is at the front bar with Cherry...

To help determine which part of the story a scene is associated with, you can - with a scene open in the editor - click on "edit scene properties", and select the "info" tab. The setting for the scene will be written there, but it may ruin/spoil the story for you. I don't recommend it.

xW,

When you open the Seamstress Union scenes, use your mouse scroll wheel to "zoom out". Then zoom in to the upper-right map section, there, behind what looks like a bar, should be a green "actor spawner" labeled Eric Mersmann, he is the clothes vendor. You should be able to open his character menu as instructed, and select the "equipment" tab to reveal which level of equipment he is selling in that "scene".

You can then "add" the matching level alternate outfit list, to his inventory. This way he should have both the standard and alternate outfit lists.

You may not be able to access the vendors, the first time that you visit the Union. But once you succeed with the editing process, you can return to the editor and edit Eric in the remaining Union scenes.

I got it! Sort of. I can save the equipment to the npc/actor (Cherry again) but she does not interact with me. Granted i may be accessing the wrong scene. The list in the editor doesn't correlate with the name of the saved game file.

Any ideas?

You're not dumb! You gave me enough information to make an educated guess where the mistake was made.

I can't remember how to add more than one item to an item drop. (Try asking, or searching, in the workshop discussions forum.)

I ran through the process of adding to a vendor, and it seems to still "work". At which point are getting stuck?

I am so so dumb!!
I apologise for wasting your time.
I was looking at 'outfits' and did not even see the'player outfits'. Thank you so very much, i really appreciate it!!

Oh! Before i forget, how would I put more than one item/outfit in a single prop? Or is that not allowed? I am still trying to figure out how to create a vendor with them all or alter a current actor/npc.

Thank you again!!

xW,
My instructions, although not as precise as i had remembered, still "work" for me. When you get to the "select an item" menu, are you looking in the "outfits", or "player outfits" list?
