Description
Release date: July 2016
Death Road to Canada is a Randomized Permadeath Road Trip Simulator where every time you play, you're making a unique story. Your group of up to 4 survivors have to journey from Florida to Canada while dealing with starvation, personality conflicts, betrayal, and massive hordes of classic slow, lumbering wall of death zombies. Interactive Fiction Choose-Your-Own-Adventure elements are combined with action-adventure segments where you explore random cities, scavenge for supplies, find new survivors to recruit, and die horribly. This is all done in a colorful game world that doesn't take itself dark-and-gritty seriously.

FEATURES:
  • Tons of replay value, with a focus on rare events, unusual situations, and Easter Eggs.
  • Survivors have their own random names, appearances, personalities, and other traits.
  • Robust Interactive Fiction segments, influenced by the personalities of your group.
  • Randomly generated cities you can explore for supplies, but watch out for hordes.
  • Rare Unique Survivors with their own appearances and special events.
  • Survivors have different personality quirks. It's up to you to prevent them from tearing each other apart.
  • Find and recruit dogs. Rare special event where you can teach dogs how to drive the car.

We're almost ready to launch the game! Expect it in May, June if there's some sort of disaster.

You plan on releasing on other platforms besides steam? Like itch.io?
Honestly I'm only asking this because I have a game I'm working on and steam seems kind of a stretch for someone new. What was it like working towards being greenlighted?

@madgarden It may be advisable to actually update the greenlight. I know it sounds silly since nobody who has money invested in this game pays attention to it, but it just looks bad. I know you read and reply to comments here, it wouldn't hurt to just update the page a little so it at least shows signs of life at a glance.
