Intro
This guide will help you disable blood in Counter Strike: 1.6 using either the Developers Console or the Content Lock.
Disabling Blood (Method 1)
The first method to disable blood on Counter Strike is the most convenient and requires the following of these few simple steps.

Step 1: Find "Counter Strike" in your Steam library and right click it. Click on "Properties."

Step 2: Click 'SET LAUNCH OPTIONS' and enter the following into the box: +violence_ablood 0 +violence_agibs 0 +violence_hblood 0 +violence_hgibs 0

Step 3: Launch the game and see if it works!
Note: Joining a server with added blood (i.e. floor blood, added blood splatter, etc.) will still be implemented even with the blood disabled.

If this method did not work for you please try second method discussed in the next section.
Disabling Blood (Method 2)
The second method to disabling blood on most Valve games is a often simple procedure that requires only basic knowledge of the developers console. This section will provide you with the information necessary to disable blood on Counter Strike: 1.6

Step 1: Activate the Developers Console using the ~ key.
Note: This may not work if you have not enabled the console in the options menu. Please follow the steps in section #6 to enable the Developers Console.

Step 2: Type in the following commands: violence_ablood 0, violence_agibs 0, violence_hblood 0, violence_hgibs 0.

Step 3: Blood is now disabled!
Note: Joining a server with added blood (i.e. floor blood, zombies, etc.) will still be implemented even with the blood disabled.

Enabling the Content Lock
The content lock (also commonly know as the "low violence" mode) was created for countries (i.e. Germany) in which it is illegal to have a game with dead bodies or blood in it. In the United States this is not so but you are still able to take advantage of this feature to provide a less violent experience.

The difference between having no blood and enabling Content Lock mode is one thing:

#1: Enemies do not die. Rather they fall on the ground after being shot and start crying.

To enable the Content Lock please refer to the following steps bleow:

Step 1: Click on options.

Step 2: Click on the "Lock" tab on the options menu.

Step 3: Check the box that says "Content Lock"

Step 4: It will ask you to create a password. Please do so and follow any other onscreen instructions.

Step 5: The content lock has now been enabled! Blood is now disabled and enemies will not die.
Note: Please refer to section #5 to turn off the content lock.
Disabling the Content Lock
To disable the content lock follow these instructions:

Then select Export Registry.

To disable the content lock follow these instructions:

Step 3: Navigate to the following registry key: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Valve\Half-
Life\Settings\

@Sure, Blame the Ping: For method 1, just type it in as a whole string of characters with only a space in-between. There's no need to press enter each time you enter the command.

I have a question. So for method 1, would i type it in like this:+violence_ablood 0 +violence_agibs 0 +violence_hblood 0 +violence_hgibs 0, and use the whole string at once or would i type each one in like this: +violence_ablood 0 *enter* +voilence_agibs 0 *enter* and so on and so on.
