Disabling Blood
Disabling blood on most Valve games is a often simple proceedure that requires only basic knowledge of the developers console. This section will provide you with the information necessary to disable blood on Counter Strike: Source.

Step 1: Play a round with blood on and wait for either a teamate or a enemy to be killed.

Step 2: Activate the Developers Console using the ~ key.
Note: This may not work if you have not enabled the console in the options menu. Please follow the steps in section #4 to enable the Developers Console.

Step 3: Type in the following command: violence_hblood 0

Step 4: Blood has now been disabled and ragdolls should be implemented.
Note: The ragdolls will only be implemented if you play a round with blood on first. If you don't play a round with blood on, the game automatically interprets that you are wanting to play in low violence mode. Joining a server that has low violence enabled will automatically disable ragdolls.

Here are some screenshots of gameplay with and without blood:

Enabling Low Violence mode
Low Violence is a mode built into the game for countries that forbid blood and dead bodies. It is illegal to play a game with Low Violence off in specific countries such as Germany. In the United States this is not so but you are still able to take advantage of this feature to provide a less violent experience.

The difference between having no blood and enabling Low Violence mode are two things:

#1: There are no ragdolls

#2: Enemies do not die. Rather they surrender.

Some screenshots below show the difference:

Low Violence violence can be enabled by performing the following steps:

Step 1: Activate the Developers Console using the ~ key.
Note: This may not work if you have not enabled the console in the options menu. Please follow the steps in section #4 to enable the Developers Console.

Step 2: Type in the follwing commands: violence, hblood 0 and violence_hgibs 0.

Step 3: Low Violence has now been enabled.
Enabling the Developers Console
To enable the Developers Console please follow these few simple steps:

Step 1: Click on options

Step 2: Click on Advanced

Step 3: Check the box that says enable developers console and click Ok

Step 4: Click Apply and then Ok

The Developers Console can now be acessed at any time by using the ~ key
Disabling Blood while maintaning ragdolls
To maintain ragdolls in a no blood game you must play a round with blood on first.

Step 1: Play a round with blood on and wait for either a teamate or a enemy to be killed.

Step 2: Activate the Developers Console using the ~ key and type in the command: violence_hblood 0
Note: This may not work if you have not enabled the console in the options menu. Please follow the steps in section #4 to enable the Developers Console.

@Ainsley
It would make it fall under the T rated category, because even Halo 5 is rated T, and it has realistic violence but doesn't show blood and gore, so it maintains a T rating.

no because the concept of terrorism and the use of realistic weapons still make it very violent
