解説
You there! Legionnaire! Have you ever been disappointed by the quality of your gear? Have you ever been torn between showing your allegiance and getting your rear kicked or being well-protected and sticking out from your comrades? Well, unfortunately, the Legion's stretched thin and we're all making sacrifices for the war effort.

What's that? You think we should ask old Jorlund Graymane for some help? You got stones in your ears, or are you just that dumb? Jorlund would never make steel for the Legion. NEVER.

Although his forge could make a mighty fine blade...

Wait. You're the Dragonborn, who could shout his wrinkly face halfway across the tundra? Then what are you waiting for?! Go use his forge and make yourself a decent set of armor! And how about a sword while you're at it!

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Just as you might have assumed, this mod adds in Skyforge variants of Imperial heavy armor and the Imperial sword.

Just go to the Skyforge in Whiterun with the appropriate materials and craft your desired gear, provided you have the Steel Smithing perk (But, come on, who doesn't?).

*LIGHT/STUDDED ARMOR AND A BOW HAVE BEEN ADDED*

Each item of heavy armor has been modified so that it provides the user with 50% more protection than its non-Skyforge variant, just as the sword and bow dole out 50% MORE PAIN!

Each piece of the light armor has been modified to provide more protection with stats based on the ratio of the vanilla armor sets. See the update notes if you're curious about my methods of re-stat-ing.

"What's the point of this?" you may ask. Well, I wanted to blend in with my fellow Legionnaires without having to use some of the worst armor in the game. So I made this, and decided to share with the rest of Steam. As stated below, there are no new textures. This is for several reasons: A. I have neither the skills nor the software necessary to create new textures. B. It kind of defeats the purpose of blending in with your fellow Legionnaires if you have different armor.

No more questions. Now go out and kick some rebel hide!

Fair warning: The materials required to craft the Skyforge variants are slightly more demanding than the non-Skyforge variants. Because of the increased strength and density of the armor, as well as the extra materials added on, the Skyforge variants are also a bit heavier than the non-Skyforge variants.

This does NOT add any new textures for the armor or weapons.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I have finished balancing the armor rating. Hopefully my method was suitable enough. Check the update notes for more details.

*Note: The item stats shown in the screenshots above are NOT indicative of the true stats. My character is built as a heavy armor with sword and shield warrior. Therefore, the stats in the images adjusted themselves to fit his build. They may be different for your character. The listed materials required for crafting, however, should not change (the one exception being the full helmet, which I have recently edited).

PLEASE COMMENT, RATE, AND FAVORITE IF YOU LIKE THIS MOD. COMMENTS, RATINGS, AND FAVORITES ARE HOW US MODDERS KNOW HOW WE'RE DOING. IF ANYONE HAS ANY ISSUE OR SUGGESTION, PLEASE PUT IT IN THE COMMENTS SECTION BELOW. I WON'T BITE MUCH.

This mod was made as a supplement to my Armored Tails mod, which adds a detachment of Khajiit Legionnaires as followers. Link right here.

And for those looking to diversify their comrades, check out my We Are Legion mod, that adds Legion soldiers of both genders and of every race. Just be sure to read the entire description before subscribing.

I've just updated to 2.4. I fixed the issue with the vanilla sword and bow improvement recipes using the Skyforge variants instead of the vanilla variants. You should be able to improve them now. I also changed the material type for all Skyforge Imperial gear items to Steel. This should NOT change whether they're heavy or light, but it should mean they're all affected by the Steel Smithing perk for improvement. I believe they will shift to the Steel section of the smithing menu now, but that shouldn't be much of an issue since they should only show up at the Skyforge anyway. So it won't be cluttering up every single forge you visit.

I'm pretty sure this mod is unsupported now but found a few bugs
It seems that the vanilla Imperial sword becomes unimprovable at the grindstones (I don't know about vanilla bow) I've checked it with other mods that I use and this mod is definitely the one that causes this bug.
The heavy armour set including the officer's helmet and the closed helmet are the only ones that are on-perk with steel smithting. Light armour sets can be improved but it would be better if they are on-perk like the heavy set. Also, skyforge Imperial sword and bow are off perk too.
p.s. Heavy Imperial armour is too heavy, heavier than Daedric

The legion needs more powerful warriors these days, the ebony warrior may not be able to help but the empire wants you to get skyforged weapons and armor, me? i go all out with that!

Precisely. It would explain the rarity of the helmet and also its likeness to the horseman helmet from Oblivion.

I've yet to see a Legion Cav detachment.

Using Cavalry in Skyrim is kinda like trying to use Tanks in Afghanistan, challenging in the most accessable areas.

Now that I'm thinking about it, it would make even more sense to be a cavalry helm because of its rarity. Skyrim's a harsh and rugged land, not the most suitable for large cavalry units. So cavalry would likely be pretty rare there, though probably not nonexistant. Regardless, it's a cool looking piece of armor and I figured I should include it anyway. And the extra little objects you need to craft it make it that much harder to craft.

I'm going to have to agree with you outright, you presented a solid statement backed by what you saw on Oblivion.
