Change you button configuration

Button Assignement

Go to the config files in %USERPROFILE%\Documents\Tribute Games\MercenaryKings\Configs, and open the .cfg file of your gamepad with the editor. You must have started the game at least once with that gamepad plugged in for a file to be created.
If you have already changed config files before 6454, just copy them to the new location.
Change the "ID" numbers for every button to match you configuration.
I have found that for gamepads following the usual placement of four face buttons + start and select + shoulder buttons the numbers are usually these:

Button_A - "ID" : 2
Button_B - "ID" : 1
Button_X - "ID" : 3
Button_Y - "ID" : 0
Button_Back - "ID" : 8
Button_START - "ID" : 9
Button_LB - "ID" : 6
Button_RB - "ID" : 7

So for an Xbox One controller how are trigger buttons left 1 & 2 and right 1 & 2 listed?

I really wish they provided in-game controller configuration, something most games have enjoyed since the early 1990's.

The Left Trigger ID should be 6, the Right Trigger should be 7.

I couldn't scroll left or right on the map or pan my camera left or right during a mission, so I changed to IDs under RightStick's X axis from 4 to 2, now it scrolls.

Need it, what do you mean by jump normally? There is slight delay with jumping, where the character ducks down to be able to jump, but that is intentional.

I did that. But i stil cant jump normaly
I have changed ini file in this folder, this instruction.

What probably happened is that you got the new version of the game inbetween. The new version saves the config files in %USERPROFILE%\Documents\Tribute Games\MercenaryKings\Configs instead of the game\config folder. Just copy your edited inis to the new location.

I changed buttons around in the config last night, worked fine. I start the game up this morning, they're back to default. I have a PS2 style controller. Is Steam Cloud changing my config?
