Introduction

Cakewalk has taken the liberty to craft Ogg Vorbis and LAME export presets and make them available to the Steam community.

These presets will add additional 'vanilla style' options to the preset drop down list in the File > Export > Audio menu.

One limitation of going with the LAME MP3 exporter is you do not have a graphical user interface or the ability to add ID3 tags like you can in the Cakewalk MP3 Activation Utility. Variables to the export options will need to be done via command line under Utilities > External Audio Configuration Utility before export takes place.

*Note* You will be required to download the LAME and Ogg Vorbis Encoders separately. Links are provided below. Cakewalk is not authorized to distribute these encoders directly.

**Back up your Registry before making edits!***

Before editing the registry, it is always a good idea to create a system restore point. You can use the restore point to undo changes to your system.

Khal Bob, you don't need to do any of this if you've already bought the Mp3 Activator, the one from STEAM or the Store works the same way.
