Warframe - How to beat the Phorid Boss Easy Tactics!

This guide will quickly teach you how to defeat the Phoroid Boss for the Naeglar Planet as quickly, and easily, as possible! Read on!

I've made this guide in order to teach you how to beat Phoroid in Warframe as easily as possible!
Read on!

Before you start the mission!

Now, using this guide, it is in fact possible to defeat the Phoroid Solo! But only if you follow the guide i have created.
Before we start the mission take a rifle or shotgun of choice ( Preferablly a high damage and fire rate weapon ) and a Pistol of your choice.
It is not neccasary but adding a frost mod to either ranged weapon will be very helpful for slowing phoroid down as you close in on him!
Now for the melee weapon. Take a melee weapon that has good damage and fire rate. ( I use the BO with Fury to increase the fire rate ). Next add a frost mod to the melee weapon. THIS IS ABSOLOUTELY IMPORTANT. THIS GUIDE WILL NOT WORK WITHOUT A MELEE WEAPON WITH A FROST MOD.
If your going solo bring an ammo pack, just incase you need the extra ammo on the way out.
If your in a squad, make sure they have a similar loadout, then your ready to start the mission!

Pre - Boss Battle

This section details what you must do before you enter Phoroids arena room. When you start off in the mission you COULD run through all the enemies. However i don't reccomend this as they will all catch you up later and cause you to die. Especially the Ancient Infestation.

What you should do is play it safe and kill all enemies along the way so when you reach Phoroid its just him and your squad. Try and keep your health up as high as you can while you reach Phoroid.

Once you reach him, Read on!

Boss Battle

This is it. The main part of the guide, the Boss Battle.

Follow these steps to win easily!

Step one - Enter the room so that Phoroids entrance scene begins.

Step two - Once this is done, instantly shoot phoroid with your ranged weapon that you put a frost mod on. This will slow him down significantly, allowing you and your squad to close in on him.

Step three - Begin to beat him to death with your melee weapon. Make sure you equipped the frost mod for your melee weapon too, otherwise he will be too fast.

Step four - When Phoroid lowers himself down and does nothing while under the effects of frost, it means he is charging his scream attack. When raises his body again, run from him and shoot him with your ranged frost weapon to keep him away and slowed down while the scream hits you. Then shoot him while you close back in and return to melee.

Step 5 - This method is the easiest and most simplest for this boss. Remember once he's dead grab everything!

Post - Boss Battle

Now you've beaten Phoroid, you just have to get out. I recomend collecting as much ammo as you can then leave as a group. You can i either Sprint out or Shoot your way out. By this time, you will want the mission to be over so you can stare at your new blueprints so i reccomend just sprinting out as a group, waiting for one another if you run ahead!

If you do die after collecting the blueprints or whatever thats fine too because you keep it all, you just forfeit the mission complete credit bonus!
When you fail or forfeit, you don't get any credits, mods, blueprints, or resources you collected. Only EXP. This happened as of Update 7.8.0.

Pretty easy to solo with trinity and a Scindo, I'm pretty sure it still does tripple damage against even him since he is just a larger charger, his health goes down really fast. You do need ice and fire however to slow and add on that extra damage. Nothing but charge attacks and Link/EnergyVampire and your set. You just have to watch out for the Disruptor Ancients, Trinty gets real squishy w/o energy. Also, his needle attack seems to still kill you even with link on if you use to late, or else it works fine.

Personally, i solo him. as nyx. rush in and use chaos on him, without hurting enemies beforehand, avoid his attacks or hide until they arrive, then sit back and snipe him as they surround and crush him xD

i just use loki, put decoy, invis, dual etherdagger away. All pimped ofc. ethers with forst fire fury dmg mods and good stuffs. Loki with sprint health shield max power and all that good stuffs. Easy mode imo.

Really easy tactic me and my mates use. As you enter the room run to where he starts and crouch under the platform, your camera will go a bit weird and zoomed in but he cant reach you and just stands there, only way he can kill you is with the spikes, then you can just revive each other. (make sure smaller enemies are cleared first)

Just go to the big guns in the other rooms,and shoot him with them. This is x3 easier and faster

Personally I've found that Exalted Blade tends to kill it pretty fast, so you can pretty much go for the face with some upgrades to health and shields and it'll die faster than you. Just make sure you build up some energy from the enemies and containers before its area so you can sustain the blade long enough to chop the big bugger into little bits. Hope this is slightly more do-able for newer players than the other tactics presented here. Also been using thsi Solo to kill it, could be something to do with a different level for it though, as I've been working through it as part of an Infestation on Mars, and with max level Excalibur, and max level Nami Skya.

One good things is if you have excalibur with galatine i do 3 out of 4 hits crit damage and i do about 11k damage to him per hit

GEL, Nyx is the reason people bother fighting Phorid. If you have Nyx already, nobody bothers fighting Phorid.
