To receive that gorgeous axe you should begin “A Daedra's Best Friend” Quest

1) Talk to Lod (the blacksmith) in Falkreath. He’ll ask you to lurk around searching for a dog which he is fancy keeping to himself.

2) Travelling across Skyrim you can eventually bump into the dog yourself.

3) This hound, Barbas will tell you about his argument with its owner and will beg you to help him. I will turn out that Barbas’ master is not an ordinary mortal but actually is one of sixteen Daedric Princes - Clavicus Vile.

4) Barbas will take you to Heimar's Shame, the place where Clavicus’s sanctuary is located. Be aware, this place is crawling with vampires!

5) Clean this sanctuary up and head to Clavicus’ statue.

6) Activate the statue and start a dialogue with the prince.

7) The treacherous Daedric Prince will command you to find Rueful Axe so that in return he will take Barbas back.

8) From there, head to the Icy Cave where Rueful Axe lies. Take down its previous owner and grab your Trophy Axe!

9) Now you can dismiss Barbas (It’ll return to Sanctuary) and keep the quest axe. It can be improved with Ebony Ingot. But the quest is still incomplete.

10) To finish it you should return to sanctuary and bring Clavicus your quest axe.

11) He will tell us that if we want to keep treasured Rueful Axe we must kill Barbas with it (what, of course, you don’t want to do because this glitch won’t work!)

12) If we tell Clavicus: “I work for PETA and I won’t obey you, you hard-hearted scum” That you are not okay with killing a poor doggie, Clavicus shall give us his mask and this will end your quest:
