Upgrading music to original Roland-SC55 recordings!
By DosBoss
Do yourself a favor!

This is a replacement soundtrack, the original jams recorded on a Roland SC-55 Midi unit, for the unaware this was the cream of the crop when it came to Midi music in DOS games back in the day, this is how the music is meant to be heard! give it a listen and see for yourselves :),

Getting these jams ingame!
Greetings!

First thing's first, you'll need to download the recordings, which can be found {LINK REMOVED}

Now, you'll need to navigate to the music folder, which resides in your steam Duke 3D folder, in most cases this will be found here - 'c:/Program Files/Steam/steamapps/Duke Nukem 3D/gameroot/music'

At this stage it would probably be wise to backup the tracks already in here, just incase you decide to revert (yeah right! ;P),

Now simply extract the contents of the downloaded file above, into here...that's it!

Enjoy the rockin music the way us audiophiles did way back! :D

Special thanks to Brandon Blume, aka MusicallyInspired for doing the recordings.

Ahh yes. I just found the changelog posting and 1.0.4 added it.

Megaton I believe, haven't looked too closely at the 20th anniversary one yet

Do you mean on this one (the Megaton Edition) or on the newer 20th Anniversary Edition one?

These recordings are now in the official version if I remember right, making this redundant now :)

As someone else mentioned the pack is redundant now (and has been for a long time). In addition the files included with Megaton have metadata on them.

I found the link in the wayback machine but they filter mediafire links for some reason so I'll have to break it up a little. Replace the odd space with the missing period.
