C-Wars is a retro style game. If you like pixel art, this is THE game for you! In theory, it’s is a combination of RTS, fighting game, and RPG.

C-Wars’s core gameply is block seizing. With rational use of land resources, you can summon soldiers to fight on your blocks same to classic Tower Defense. No blocks, no summons. The battles are real time. If you don’t fight, the enemies will occupy your territory. However, that’s not how the game ends; you lose only when your captain dies, not when your territories are taken.

The warriors summoned by the occupied blocks are similar to the towers from traditional TDs – they are able to fight upon birth. Like towers, they are classified into long-range attack, close combat, and occasionally cooldown time. The biggest difference is that they can move anytime to meet the strategic demand you deploy. It’s more like a simpler version of RTS rather than TD. You never have to worry about summoning the unsuitable soldiers; you can always move them around.

In fact, it’s better to not consider them as moving towers; they could be moved or attacked. They are dead when their HP reach 0. But worry not, in C-Wars, Medics are available to treat the combatants. If time permits, you’re advised to transfer the long-range attack soldiers from hot zones to safe zones.

If you think above is all, you’re completely wrong. C-Wars is equipped with a fighting system. Like all soldiers, you can control any character’s movement to avoid their enemy’s attack. Furthermore, Captain can attack anytime upon your demand. Use your summoned soldiers to cover Captain, and control Captain for the coup de grace! Different captains have various abilities: melee skill, sniping, stealthy, and medical treatment, etc.

@Regiden Hello again, thanks for your interest in Crystalides. It is a very fun prototype but sort of too complicated [Imagine Shooting, Sniper, Fighting in Turn based strategy and over 100h game time...].

But we believe Steam is the best platform for Crystalides because it's tooooo hardcore. So, yes, definitely, we will port Crystalides for PC/MAC/LINUX after getting C-wars released.
