One advantage of the design is that you get a relatively long barrel in a fairly short rifle.
Very maneuverable in tight spaces, more manageable, lighter, and still the ballistics of a rifle at longer distances.
However, if you are left-handed, the empty cartridges may fly into your face unless you can change the ejection side, as with the "IWI Tavor X95".
