Al Emmo and the Lost Dutchman's Mine

An original animated Adventure/RPG from the creators of the acclaimed King's Quest 1, 2, 3[] and Quest for Glory 2[] Sierra remakes.

Mage's Initiation is a 2D Point and Click Adventure Game / RPG hybrid, set in the fantasy medieval land of Iginor. In the tradition of Sierra's classic 'Quest for Glory' series, you may choose to play as one of four character classes (Fire, Earth, Air, or Water Mage), each with unique spells, abilities, quests, and puzzle solutions!

The Story

D'arc is sixteen-years-old. From the age of six, he has studied the magic of the Elements, under the discerning eyes of Iginor's Masters. After a decade confined to the Mages' Tower, and a life of academics and magical mastery, the inquisitive initiate often dreams of exploring the world beyond.

He is about to get that chance.

D'arc is summoned to the Tower's Hallowed Hall, where the Masters set him a trio of challenges: return with the lock of an enchantress's hair, a griffon's egg, and the horn of a rare creature known as a trinicorn.

Join D'arc as he journeys through the medieval-styled realm of Iginor. Brave a redcap goblin infested forest. Navigate a vast lake to encounter an evil so pure, not even beauty can disguise it. Ascend to the peaks of Flyteria, a valley of winged warriors once dedicated to protection of the human town.

Three quests. One chance.

Succeed and he shall take his place among his fellow Mages.

Fail and nobody shall remember his name.

Just checked AGDInteractive. Haven't done that in at least a year. You guys got a successful kickstarter?! Wow! You guys got Al Emmo on Steam?! YES!

I will purchase Al Emmo soon, and I will certainly buy Mage's Initiation when it releases. I hope everything goes well for Himalaya, and I look forward to anything you guys do in the future!

After what you did for games that meant, and still mean, a lot to me (QFG2 in particular) I'm happy to support you and you can take as long as you need to complete it to your high standards. Thank you for all of your work.

@Adanriodor: None taken. :) Our remakes of Quest for Glory 2 and King's Quest 3 took 8 years to finish. While working on multiple titles at once slowed things down quite a bit, it's also because with each successive game, we've spent more time on fine-tuning the small details. Quest for Glory 2 spent 9 months in beta testing alone. Mages is a similar type of game, but in higher res. It's the only title we're working on right now, so progress is a little faster, but there's still a lot to link together. We really want Mages to stand alongside our other Sierra remakes, so thanks for the understanding, guys!

@wr3tch: I don't think Activision will allow it. But if we were ever able to convince them to bring something to Steam, it would be better to put those resources to something new and commercial. I don't think they're interested in anything that's not generating revenue.

Congratulations on the greenlight! Just wondering - is it possible to release your remakes on Steam also as free downloads?
