Multiplayer Guide [Rebellion Approved!]

As I've been playing Sniper Elite V2 for a while, I think it's best to give people this information so they have a fighting chance when it comes to playing online. It's a very dangerous environment to jump into, especially if you're new to the game.
The developers at Rebellion have given these videos a thumbs up. So I hope you can too!
I hope the following information helps you understand more about SEV2.
Most players out there will shoot on sight. If you happen to be spotted, smile for them!

Being a Sniper is a State of Mind.

I believe in fair play and common sence.
As I explain in my Guide to Explosives, (See below) SEV2 is not a game where you simply run at the general direction of your enemy and hope you don't get killed. Because you will get killed.
So please don't do it.
To be an effective Sniper, you must observe and understand your surrounding environment. This game is more then a matter of kill or be killed. You need to be witty with your movements and accurate with your rifle. Try to make yourself a team player.
Most of the time, a single player has very little effect on the flow of battle. If the multiplayer server you're on allows tagging, your team is losing and nobody is highlighting targets... Then guess what?
YOU JUST VOULUNTEERED!
...Or don't. Your choice.

Multiplayer Maps

...Some people call me a cheater.

This might not be a surprise to you.

I don't take offense to these kind of insults.
Calling someone out as a cheater implies they are not good enough to play the game and need "assistance" getting good scores.
Not only is this disrespectful to the player, it's a moment of embarressment for the accuser. Continue to use "Cheater" or "Hacker" as an excuse and you'll find yourself in a negative part of the Sniper community.

Please, folks.
RESPECT each other out there.

It's one thing for accusations to fly from one player to another...
But what if one of these players is a server admin?
It's a great shame to see, but there will always be admins who will not believe people are naturally talented at Sniper Elite. Or practice on a regular basis.
Here's what can happen when power is given to the wrong people.

Great guide. I don't like accusations I cheat either. There is a bit of complexity to sniper mp, and some feel cheated and that their opponents must be cheating because they get killed so easily 1 shot. That is how the game is, but some cannot accept it.

Good info. I hadn't played this game since 2012. Recently I played multiplayer with 1 other person for the first time. WOW...what a rush!! This helped me to adjust to this type of playing. Now back to SE3.
