Description
"As you walk into the abondoned crypt you remember all the stories of hidden treasure and wonder how many are true. Lost in thought you meandor forward until you feel a great shaking around you. Debris begins to fall from the ceiling and without thinking you run forward into the next room, hallway collapsing behind you. Your only choice now is to continue onwards."

Update 3: To all of you who played this and reported that the trial of might was too difficult, thank you. i have gone back and fixed it to be easier. while i don't expect you to go back through, it is only fair to others who may play it later. enjoy!

Update 2: Finished intro and ending cutscenes, they are now implemented so please enjoy.

Update: Ridculli (a fellow player) has brought to my attention a possible bug that i missed in which you could lock yourself out of a room that is necessary to continue onward. thanks for finding it Ridculli and the issue has been fixed.

This is my first attempt at a dungeon and a lot of work and testing has gone into it to try and ensure it is both challenging and fair. if i get enough ratings up i'll make a second one that is larger than this one. please feel free to comment with any suggestions, bugs, or cries of outrage.

Im stumped on lvl 5 on the "Challenge of might" Im clearing up each wave before the next spawns but the room is too small to operate. I can get to the 2nd wave of spiders but then too many arrive at once and i get hemmed into a corner and torn to bits. After the 3rd attempt at it i found myself saying FFS. If anybody tries this dont start with a new party, get a group thats at least lvl 5, 10 is better.

Hmm, a fix wouldn't help me any more, because scripts are stored within your savegame. And I probably wouldn't start over again, there are too many custom dungeons out there I need to play. ^^ But thanks for the offer. Looking forward to your new project. ;)
If the room can be fixed without too much fuss, please do it for ppl who play this in the future.

you put a skull in the alcove. also, to complaints about the difficulty of the fighting room, you are right. if you really really want me to update this with a fix let me know, otherwise i have taken all complaints and praise into consideration for me next dungeon.

it's awkward but i stuck at the first room und don't know how to open the door

@gorkon - it's not just a killer for new parties! I attempted this mod with a party that's completed Grimrock plus several other mods. All level 15/16, two tanks, one mostly-ranged damage rogue, one mage. Even THEY couldn't kill monsters fast enough in that "be prepared" room! The spawn rate is utterly ridiculous...by the time the Uggardians spawned in I actually said aloud, "Are you kidding me?!"

The mod is fun and balanced until level 5...then it's like you've fallen into another mod, and a terribly imbalanced and unfair one at that. If I can't get through it with an imported, well-specced group I certainly can't recommend this mod to anyone else, especially not people starting it with new parties.

Hi, I started your dungeon with a new party (normal difficulty) and enjoyed it so far. Until I reached level 5 and the "be strong and prepared" room. My party is lvl 6 now (sword & axe fighter, knife rogue, air mage) and I reloaded like 20 times before giving up. I simply cannot kill the monsters fast enough, I get swarmed & killed. This is a real game breaker for a new party (ridculli wrote something similar on page one, so it cannot be only me). Any chance you can tone that room down a bit? Longer respawn delay would help, maybe fewer monsters.

Call me wittless, but i just can't figure out the doors on level 6. If you don't mind please send me a PM and tell me what the trick is. All in all the dungeon was good. Great job

Just so everyone knows, you have to go into custom dungeons -> crypt of horrors and scroll to the bottom of the description. there is a button that says downlod (text says new version available) you'll have to click that for the update.
