Thats the trick to a good system, finding the choke points and solving it.

I thought it would be efficient to run three lines between two stations one on each side of the river in one tube. Then have them break off into their separate lines. Also because I had a nasty time getting one tube across the river never mind three. For the longest time I never noticed or paid attention to all the trains jamming at either stations 8-12 trains deep per line. Creating the triplet metro hubs on either side of the river stopped the jamming and the end of hundreds if not a thousand waiting passengers and improved metro use greatly.
