Dangerous Skooma

Description
This mod makes Skooma more like it was in Oblivion and Morrowind, bad for you but a huge temporary boost in speed and stamina.

In Oblivion and Morrowind, Skooma was a very dangerous substance that damaged intelligence while increasing movement speed. For that reason, skooma was banned across much of Tamriel. However, in Skyrim, skooma remains banned as a dangerous substance, but it has no drawbacks and regenerates a small amount of stamina. This confused me while initially playing the game. Therefore, this mod aims to restore the dangerous effects of skooma so that it fits within the lore.

After loading this mod, skooma will cause blurry vision and a stagger effect while removing all your magicka and causing the player to be weak to magic. Skooma will also give virtually unlimited stamina regeneration for 20 seconds.

EDIT #1: Withdrawal symptoms have been added. This slightly lowers stamina regeneration temporarily after use.

EDIT #2: Added a temporary movement speed boost of 25%.

EDIT #3: By popular demand, Khajiit players do not get withdrawal symtoms. However, all other negative effects remain.

EDIT #4: Skooma and Double-Distilled Skooma are now craftable at a cooking pot.

Note: There are three kinds of skooma in Skyrim: skooma, double-distilled skooma, and triple-distilled skooma. All have been modified to have dangerous effects. The latter two types are very rare in-game (only a few in all of Skyrim), and they have progressively stronger stamina-boosting effects with greater dangerous effects and withdrawal symptoms.
This mod does NOT require Dawnguard, Hearthfire, or any other mod.

Can the effects stack just for fun?

Can you simulate addiction? Something like after three doses you start losing stamina until your next fix. Every so many doses, you lose stamina faster until your next fix. Eventually you need it constantly. Once your stamina hits bottom, it works on your magicka (or it does magicka first then stamina). Finally, it starts hitting your health, or takes it down to half of what it was permanently until you go to shrine to get cleansed.

Does this mod work with Nexus mods?

never thought to look for triple-distilled skooma but i'v a mod you can make double-distilled & regular pretty easily, using moonsugar & charcoal. some require crimson nirnroot & some even turn you into beastform. it's actually called wolf potion but it require's skooma to make. beware if you're testing it as a vamp or vamplord.

Nice Idea.. I can see ghosts searching for skooma..

adicted in life.. and adicted in death, they search endlessly for skooma..

@Korsall Good idea. The mod has been updated with that in mind.

Hmm... Needs Khajiit tailoring... They're supposed to be affected by the stuff differently after all.

@Freyzor: yes. The Skyhighrim mod does exactly just that. Just a heads up for future

@zhaythorn This mod only affects skooma. Any mod that alters skooma specifically could cause incompatabilities. This can usually be avoided by putting this mod below in the load order of any mod that could affect skooma.

would other mods that alter skooma affects be compatible?
