Description

ATTENTION! I am no longer able to maintain or update my mods going into Patch 2.0. My PC has crashed and I don't know when I will be able to replace the broken parts. Furthermore, my personal life is in the middle of an important crossroads and I'm going to be focusing on reality. This means NONE of my mods will be updated further. They will remain as they are for Patch 1.9.

DISCLAIMER: If anyone wishes to maintain/update/continue this mod, they have my permission to do so with the understanding that credit must be given in the description of your updated mod to the original author. Always give credit where credit is due.

Original description follows:

Terminology:

ISB = Improved Ship Battles, and refers to ISB Balance. ISB Doomsday is a separate patch.
RS = Realistic Ships, and refers to that mod.

This mod is a compatibility patch for Realistic Ships and Improved Space Battles Balance, allowing you to use both mods together properly.

If you do not have ALL the mods listed on the right side of this page do NOT subscribe to this patch.

For those of you who ONLY use ISB Doomsday, you need the other patch, which you can find here.

This patch edits the following to ensure compatibility between the Improved Space Battles Balance mod collection and Realistic Ships:

1. Combined country_types files.

This file combination allows the AI to use both Improved Space Battle's ship classes and Realistic Ship's ship classes at the same time. Without this merger, one mod would overwrite the other, and the AI would only use one mod's ship classes. This way, the AI can use both: using RS ship classes but also unlocking the ISB end-game ship classes later on.

2. Updated RS Ship Classes to have ISB Balance Ship Bonuses.

ISB Balance gives the 4 vanilla military ship classes bonuses to hull points and shield health, which RS doesn't, which causes everything to be out of balance. This patch gives the RS ship classes similiar bonuses at appropriate levels to work with ISB Balance's bonus system for ship classes, making sure the RS classes are useful at the right levels.
