This game at its current state is a mess. Dont get me wrong, I absolutely love this game to death, at its core, tf2 is still a fantastic game. The game play is an experience thats hard to find elsewhere. Each class offers a different playstyle, and the games community has produced countless memorable moments and custom content. Unfortunately, these positive parts of tf2 are overshadowed by the cheating and botting that have infested the game.

Bots have become a significant issue in tf2 , with servers often overrun by them, in which they spam chat, use aimbots, and ruin the game. It honestly hurts me to join a match only to find it infested by these ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ bot players who make it impossible to enjoy a game. The bot problem has been around for years, and despite numerous complaints from the community, valve has done little to address it effectively and even when they do address it, all they do is lie, saying that they "hear us" and theyre "working on it" but we all know those were complete lies.

Cheaters are another disturbance of the TF2 community. Whether its wallhacks, aimbots, or other exploits, cheaters disrupt the balance and fun of the game. It feels like every game has at least one player using unfair advantages, making it frustrating for players who want to enjoy the game as it was meant to be played. The vac anti cheat dose absolutely nothing, and when it does work, bot hosters and cheaters can simply just make new steam accounts and continue cheating, which just shows how pathetic valves anti cheat is compared to other games.

valves neglect of tf2 is the most disappointing aspect of all. The company seems more interested in their other projects and cash cows, ignoring the communitys desperate want in change. Regular updates and active management could breathe new life into the game, but instead, we get radio silence and a slow drip of minor patches that do little to address the actual issues. Its a shame to see such a beloved game suffer due to corporate apathy. (keep in mind, valve is a multi billion dollar company).

While tf2 has the potential to be a standout game with its unique charm and gameplay, the issues with bots and cheaters, coupled with valves lack of care, severely ruins the experience. For those considering diving into tf2, be prepared for an uphill battle against a broken system that desperately needs attention from its creators. Until valve steps up and addresses these critical problems, tf2 will remain a shadow of its former glory.
