The game is rather fun at times but the bosses and around half the levels are absolutely terrible, they rely on incredibly strict memorization instead of reaction time and are unpredictable at times, robert as a character is too slow and ruins the pacing, hachi is comically overpowered and shatters the difficulty if he is playable. the enemies and bosses are way too fast and tanky for the controls. im someone who adores the first game and almost every single classicvania and metroidvania and i cannot earnestly recommend this game with how frustrating it is.
