I've played this game for 10+ years and watched it overcome many hardships but I can officially declare this game dead. Or atleast dying. Mismanagement by Valve has lead to a bot takeover, lack of updates, and cheaters galore. Where do I start? Trade bots and inflation have basically killed the trading scene so there's no hope there. There hasn't been an update in quite a while and now that there's only 1 person working on the game at Valve, there probably won't be. Hackers implement bots that take over entire servers and kick anyone who tries to kick the bots. These bots micspam earrape and racial slurs and actual players are getting banned by the bots. Maps like 2Fort and Hightower are no longer playable and every other server is eventually filled with aimbots. There are rumors that some of these bots are doxxing/hacking other people's computer but whether or not that's true is beyond me. However I'd be cautious as many players have reported these bots doxxing and somehow installing malware on their personal PCs. Play with extreme caution.EDIT: Since Steam won't stop bothering me about revising my review, I'll add this little tidbit. The problem hasn't been fixed. This game is badly optimized. Like VERY badly optimized. Which means that even if you're using the newest PC, you're still gonna get ♥♥♥♥♥♥ FPS.
