After a right good review bombing, Sony caved and removed the required PSN account linking for PC players. Good work Helldivers.

Great game, pity about Sony.

Another fantastic Solo developed game and a fantastic retro style FPS. Short answer just buy it, it amazing.
Game play is well thought out and smoothly constructed.
Enemy design is varied enough and balanced well enough that dealing with each type enemy is interesting.
Enemy deign and difficulty scaling does not degrade as the chapter progresses, aka you do not end up with annoying hyper mobile and tanky enemies in the later levels of the chapter.
No Idea about the story cuz I never ready anything (am lazy and dyslexic) but The world and atmosphere was amazing, so I assume the story if good.

FMF is an interesting attempt at making a Lovecraft styled FPS and the developers appear to have put significant time and effort into the art style, aesthetic and sound track, however shortcomings in the game play, level design and late game enemy/boss design hamper the overall experience.

If you love FPS games styled after doom/quake and your a fan of HP Lovecraft then FMF will likely be worth buying on sale, otherwise probably pass on it.

The good:
-As mentioned above the visual style of FMF is very good with interesting areas and enemies.
-Enemy design. During the first half of the game enemy design is good. Enemies are balanced, non-spongy and often have quirky interactions (like zombies replacing their heads after headshots).
-For the most part level layout are fun and balanced for exploration and combat, this does change slightly towards the end game.
-FMF also has a character leveling system, which (to the best of my knowledge) is not common these types of games. This system is very basic and offers some rudimentary variety to the your play through, however props to the devs for trying to implement a unique system into a well established genre.

The bad:
-The skill tree is very limited in verity and some weapon upgrade options are worse than the base version.
-Weapon balance is inconsistent. The two SMGs are very powerful once they have their damage/accuracy upgrades, additionally the shotgun always stays relevant at point bank range even in late game. However weapons like the harpoon gun and the rocket launcher are mostly underwhelming, the knife becomes almost useless late game because of high number of enemies and lackluster damage and the pistol uses the same ammo type as one of the SMGs, meaning your better off just using that instead. Overall you will likely forget the harpoon gun exists until your out of SMG ammo.
-Many late game enemies are fasting moving with high hit points and often hard to dodge attacks. Having powerful enemies is a good thing, but their design should hopefully feel fair and be engaging to encounter, unfortunately FMF uses a old school approach to increasing game difficulty and just replaces most of the early game enemies with many tougher ones. Furthermore, the weapon imbalances become more pronounced with these faster tanker enemies because the only weapons that can reliably hit them are the hit scan SMGs and the shotgun, meaning the remaining weapons are almost pointless after the halfway point of the game.
-Finally boss design. There are four or five bosses in the game, most of them are ok at best and none of them are exceptionally good. this is mainly due to their simplistic design or sadistic design. For example, the first two bosses are pretty easy and do not introduce any new gameplay ideas or mechanics to the genre. additionally, the execution of the boss fights is not groundbreaking in any meaningful way, in short most of the bosses are just bland mechanically. The final boss is actively not very fun to fight, not because he is super hard, just mechanically frustrating and towards the end cheesy.

Regardless of how this game turned out, I wish the devs good fortune with their future projects and i am glad they tried to make this game, even if the execution was slightly off.
