War system is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ terrible, diplomacy is extremely underwhelming and unacceptable for this era, Lack of explanations and grids of what happens in the game, for example why your army is losing a battle or why your gdp went down 10 million for no reason.the only good thing about the game is the politics and goverment system. Overall terrible and it never should've released in this state

350 hours later, and everything i said is still true. While the game may be more balanced and stuff now, its still practically unplayable. The lack of historical railroading is actually astounding, i dont think ive seen germany or italy formed once in the last 10 playthroughs i have done, all have been played until 1900-1910, Bordergore is disgusting, you have nations like usa,austria,russia, colonising in africa creating horrible borders. You have a strong austria that has their gdp booming even tho they are extremely backwards and should be at the point of disintergration at that time. on top of that you have russia that stays completely stable the entire game with traditionalism and serfdom in 1930. The war mechanics are too me the least important thing, I dont really see a problem with it since all you have to do is rush military tech and get a modern army.

And then the politics is also stupid and completely RNG. For example you cant even influence what ideologies your interest groups will get other then some few events which also you cant even spawn by force.

♥♥♥♥ dlc it may add stuff to africa but it has completely broken personal unions and playing as Castille, Austria and England is not possible since they want you to get personal unions with countrys to continue in your mission tree. Austria and Aragon have fallen and completely died in my first campaign because of coalitions from personal unions. pathetic game studio
