My goodness what a treat of an experience. This game just oozes that classic rpg vibe, while keeping its own flair. If I had to describe this game, it'd have to be Chronotrigger meets (classic) paper mario; its got that paper mario charm in its characters and goofy dialouge and turn based battle system, with some of Chronotrigger's tech mechanics, but the lock system is a great addition. It really promotes critical thinking and damage control.

This game's world is amazing too; the set pieces, the art style, the sheer variety in places you visit, but then there's also the distinct attention to detail. Every song had to be made twice, once for overworld, and again for the pirate band, all of whom are animated to play whenever their part comes - the amount of time that took must have been staggering! Speaking of the music, it was wonderful throughout! The Mushroom swamp was easily one of the most fun pieces I've ever encountered for that environment. This game is just a wonder to play and I couldn't put it down when I started. Please give this game a go if you love classic rpgs, I assure it will be amazing!

Ladies and gentlemen, we got a diamond. This is the Paper Mario sequel we were waiting for. I honestly don't know where to start here; every facet of this game is meant to play into itself and it feels very satisfying. The world the game builds, its characters, and the story it tells is fantastic. You become immersed in Bugeria, as you explore its vast expanses, all the while enjoying the fun development of the main cast. However, the most surprising part of this game is its intricate combat system. Its use of positioning, unique character quirks, and freedom within the usually confined turn-based combat system is a breath of fresh air. Additionally, for an indie title, this game has a lot more meat on its bones than I anticipated; I finished my playthrough of the main story in 26 hours, and it never got old. I could go on forever about how much this game means to me and how much I loved it for hours, but from the charm, to the combat, to the characters, to the world itself, this game makes my childhood do backflips. I picked this game up while it was on sale, and I recommend you do the same, I assure you won't regret it,

Ahhhhh Terraria. Its up there with the greats like minecraft, and to me, Terraria has more to offer than minecraft. While it has many of the same aspects of minecraft, like its pixel visuals, emphasis on building and and exploring, with mining of course, Terraria in my opinion adds more to these aspects. The incredible amount of character customization, along with a plethora of different weapons, armor, and accessories Terraria offers keeps you attentive and always wanting to upgrade your equipment, find better loot, and also the wide array of bosses. Terraria feels like it has a sense of progression: zombies you used to run away from become trivial, biomes which you feared to explore become approachable, and the world changes around you as the game progresses. The Crimson or Corruption will continue to spread, new biomes are introduced when you enter hard mode, and new foes will appear as you get stronger. While the combat isnt necessarily anything to write home about, its made up for by the sheer variety of swords, guns, and magic, which keeps things interesting. Terraria isnt the hardest game to get into, but the amount of things that a player has when they first spawn coupled by a lack of direction could become frustrating, but to those who stick it out can agree that Terraria is no ordinary game. Journeys End releases tomorrow, and I wanted to thank this game for all the joy it has brought me, and hopefully bring to others. Thank you Terraria, its been real :)

I own this game with nearly every console i own. I have about 350+hrs on this game total and i dont regret it one bit. The game is challenging, but very rewarding, and always leaves you wanting to do "one more run". This game has an awesome sense of progression, the animation and style are a joy to look at, and the community is strong, helpful, but most importantly, welcoming. It also helps that the modding community is especially creative, and keeping this game alive even though its final update is released. Its hard at first, believe me, but give this game a try and dont give up too easy, and you'll be hooked like the rest of us.
