- If you ask if "I am the real middleman", you clearly haven't done your homework.
Asking if I am real will result in an immediate removal.

Verify if I am the real Jing - Follow these steps
-
If you have your doubts, SEND ME A MESSAGE ON reddit.com/r/dota2trade . Seriously.
- Cross-check the STEAM 64 ID. The ID on my rep thread must match. Don't be lazy and go by custom URL
- You don't need to add me to tell me of an impersonator. All middlemen are targets, just report the user for violation and impersonation on the impersonators' steam profile page and create the Steamrep scam report.

Common Questions and Answers

I've compiled a list of repeat questions and I believe that it would greatly help the community (and me) if some of these questions were placed in an easily visible spot.

1) How much does a Middlemen cost?
Middlemanning is generally free, but tips are greatly appreciated for the time and risk involved for the trade.
Middlemen’s methods vary from Middleman to Middleman, but you should always take the extra time to ensure that you are not trading with an imposter.

2) Who are the SteamRep Approved Middlemen?
The only approved middlemen for trading are those listed here:
https://www.steamrep.com/list/M .

SteamRep lists active Middlemen representatives from various trading communities across the Steam Trading Universe. Note: Please always take the steps to verify that you are actually trading with the listed SteamRep Approved Middleman. You must compare the Steam profiles for consistency, and if you are still feeling insecure, message them on their respective trading community websites. If you are scammed, we cannot retrieve your scammed items.

3) Does the Middleman hold onto the money for a paypal transaction?
The Middleman does NOT hold onto any money at any time of the transaction unless it is a Moneygram transaction. Holding the money in a transaction puts the Middleman at risk of liability if the buyer chooses to reverse or dispute a payment, so this is not common practice, and definitely unsafe for the Middleman.

4) What is the middleman process?

I've laid out a GENERAL overview of the process for you:

a) Buyer, Seller and Middleman join a multi-user chat.
b) Buyer and Seller confirm the trade agreement with the Middleman.
c) Middleman verifies the Paypal emails of Buyer AND Seller as well as provides the outlines on the trade.
d) Buyer initiates the trade with Middleman from the multi-user chat window and gives the items.
e) Middleman verifies that he has received the items and informs the Seller to proceed with payment.
f) Seller confirms money has been received and confirms that Middleman may give items to Buyer.

– Transaction Completed –

5) I GOT SCAMMED! What can I do? Can the middleman get back my items?
a) Report the user that scammed you for violation as mentioned in the guide in number
b) Create a steam support ticket. Hope that steam support takes pity on your plight.
Middlemen are NOT affiliated with Steam. We do not have any special item recovery or trade reversal powers.
