It's a fun game, with some flashy animations that make playing yugioh on the computer very satisfying!

However... the menus wait on data from the server before you can interact with them, making navigating them an absolute pain. The animations can be slow, and there are random pauses that make certain actions feel like they take way too long. The time rules punish you for playing a complicated deck, without punishing AFK and stalling very well. And that's not even the worst problem...

If you want to play archetype cards released before the last year, there's a nice system that makes it feel pretty fair and easy to build decks with them! But... Want to get staples? Either get lucky from the pack with thousands of cards or spend the rare crafting resources.

And the worst part - which makes playing the game f2p almost impossible at times - is how they release new cards. They come out in "Selection Packs", which are only around for a few weeks and are padded out with garbage in the highest rarities - when the time runs out? You've got to pray you get lucky from the "Master Pack" which has thousands of cards, or spend your rare crafting resources. So if you're f2p, high rarity cards from expired selection packs are basically unobtainable. This monetisation system has made the current Tearlement meta insufferable, as you need to pull a large amount of the highest rarity cards from two separate selection packs! I shudder to think of the experience players joining the game in a few weeks, when this deck is still meta but the selection packs are gone,

The "free to play" version of this game is nothing but a glorified advert for the £200 of DLC you need to actually play the game.

The game is old, and the only thing that's held up is the graphics.

A buggy, broken mess with sloppy combat, whether you're flailing around with your sword or getting fried by the auto-hit magic they for some reason have as the basic damaging spells...

BUTTTTTT

The community has completely saved this game! From complete overhauls to the mechanics, dialogue and UI, to dumb meme mods, the modding community has turned this broken mess into an endless well of creativity and immersion!

This is a terrible port. It ends up being a less wacky version of a Saints Row game, but with controls and bindings, some of which unchangeable, making it unplayable. Overall, boring and frustrating with very poor indication of how to continue the story. Well, if you like pointless sandboxes with big explosions, you might find some enjoyment from it, but you'll probably find more from the multiplayer mod.

This game is fun enough, haven't played it much but it's just as good as it's flash predecessors, just with microtransactions in place of ads. The game runs fine, too. Most of the time. Every time you press a turn key, the game will freeze briefly, and very occasionally crash, so I'd suggest putting it on mouse steering, as this should fix that problem.
